1 package (7 ounces) extra sharp cheddar cheese
1/3 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional
1 egg
1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce, warmed

Steps:

  • Cut cheese into 1/2-in. slices; cut each slice in half diagonally. In a shallow bowl, combine bread crumbs and red pepper flakes if desired. In another bowl, beat egg. Dip cheese triangles into egg, then in crumb mixture., Place on a greased baking sheet. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until browned and cheese begins to melt. Serve warm with pizza sauce for dipping.

1 tube (7-1/2 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
TOPPING:
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Separate biscuits into 10 pieces; place in an ungreased 9-in. round baking dish. Press onto the bottom and 1 in. up the sides, pinching edges together to seal. Bake at 350° for 5-7 minutes or until slightly puffed. , Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg and flour until smooth; pour over crust. Combine topping ingredients; sprinkle over filling. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until filling is set and crust is golden brown., Cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before cutting. Serve warm or chilled. Refrigerate leftovers.

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup 2% milk
1/2 cup sour cream
TOPPING:
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, whisk the first 7 ingredients. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; stir in cheese. Add milk and sour cream; stir just until moistened., Drop by 1/4 cupfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Mix topping ingredients; brush over tops. Bake 12-15 minutes or until light brown.
