Steps:

  • Pour the vodka and chai into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover, and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into a chilled martini glass to serve.

4 masala chai tea bags (can use vanilla chai or mocha chai tea for variety)
1 c boiling water
1 oz vodka
1 oz any liquor
crushed ice
freshly ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • 1. In a large cup, carefully pour boiling water over the tea bags. Let them steep in the water for five minutes before removing them, and squeeze out any excess tea before discarding. Refrigerate the tea for at least 30 minutes to cool well.
  • 2. Then, in a martini shaker, add half a cup of the chilled tea, vodka and the liqueur of your choice (almond, hazelnut, orange or coconut flavors work well). Add crushed ice, and shake well. Strain the liquid into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

3 ounces mango juice
2 ounces vodka
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon Chai Masala, recipe follows
Crushed ice
Mango chunks, for garnish
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
2 teaspoons green cardamom pods
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon ground ginger
5 brown cardamom pods
One 2-inch piece cinnamon stick

Steps:

  • Place the juice, vodka, sugar and Chai Masala into a cocktail shaker with crushed ice. Shake until ice cold, and then strain into a martini glass.
  • Thread chunks of mango on a toothpick or cocktail stick and use to garnish the drink.
  • Grind the fennel seeds, green cardamom pods, cloves, ginger, brown cardamom pods and cinnamon stick in an electric spice grinder. Store in an airtight jar.
