Yield 2 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 head cauliflower, fresh or frozen
¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup milk, of choice
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
ranch dressing, for dipping
1 ½ cups hot sauce, I used Siete Traditional Hot Sauce and used the whole bottle
2 tablespoons cream

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F. Chop up your cauliflower into bite sized pieces.
  • In a small bowl, combine the flour, spices, salt, pepper, and milk. In a separate bowl, pour in the panko bread crumbs.
  • Dip your cauliflower pieces into the wet mixture, then into the breadcrumbs. Set the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes flipping halfway through.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the hot sauce with cream. Once the cauliflower is done, dip the pieces into the sauce and let it sit for a minute.
  • If desired, put the cauliflower back into the oven for 5-10 minutes at 400°F.
  • Serve hot with ranch, if desired.

Yield 3 people

Number Of Ingredients 10

Head of cauliflower
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup water
Dash of Frank's Red Hot
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot
3 tbl butter, melted
Pinch of salt
Ranch dressing

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. 2. Line a baking sheet with foil; spry with nonstick cooking spray. 3. Wash the cauliflower & cut into bite sized pieces. 4. In a medium bowl, blend the flour, water, hot sauce, garlic salt & dried onion. 5. Evenly coat each piece of cauliflower in the batter. Place coated cauliflower on the baking sheet in a single layer. 6. Bake for 15 minutes, just until the batter hardens. 7. Meanwhile, mix together the hot sauce, melted butter & salt. 8. When the cauliflower has finished baking, remove it from the oven & evenly coat each piece with the butter sauce. 9. Bake an additional 5-7 minutes, until the sauce has somewhat dried & the cauliflower is crispy. 10. Serve with ranch dressing. If doing as an appetizer, allow cauliflower to cool before serving.
