CARAMEL SNACK ATTACK MIX
I have a house full of picky kids, so I end up with lots of open boxes of cereal. This works with pretty much any cereal you'd want to eat. I've used Kix, Apple Jacks, Rice Krispies, Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, even Life! I like the stick or mini pretzels the best. I'd bet the big sourdough ones, crushed a bit of course, would be really good too. Please please please be very careful with the boiling syrup. Keep an ice bath nearby in case you spill on yourself. Any seasoned candy maker knows how horrible candy burns are.

SWEET N SALTY CARAMEL SNACK MIX
Be prepared, if you are going to make this mix. It is quite addictive! We have used several different cereal mixes, including all Chex cereals, and Life cereal. We also love to use pretzel spinzel sticks, as a different version, but really any hard pretzels can be used. Enjoy!

- Then like a baking sheet, I used my cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In small microwavable bowl add in brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir until smooth, then heat for another minute. Immediately stir in baking soda until it has complete dissolved.
- Pour caramel mixture over cereal that is in the large bowl, mix until cereal is evenly coated. Place back in the microwave and heat for 1 minute, remove bowl and gently stir cereal once again, then reheat for another minute, remove from microwave and stir once more. Then spread the cereal mixture on the prepared baking sheet bake for 5-8 minutes. Once you remove the mix from the oven immediately sprinkle with toasted coconut, set aside.
- Chop up SNICKERS bar and evenly sprinkle over the snack mix.
- Then in a small add caramel pieces and milk, heat in the microwave for 1 minute, stir then heat again for another 30 seconds to a minute, until caramel is completely melted and smooth. Use a spoon to drizzle caramel mixture over snack mix, toss the snack mix with the caramel so that the coconut sticks to the cereal. Top with chopped SNICKERS.
- In a small microwavable bowl, heat the dark melting chocolate for 1 minute, stir and then reheat for another 30 seconds or until chocolate is completely smooth.
- Using a spoon drizzle the chocolate over the snack mix, toss gently, so make sure SNICKERS and coconut are stuck to the cereal. Set aside and let it cool for 5-10 minutes, then break into pieces and serve.
