Steps:
- Turn oven on to 350 degrees. Combine cake mix, oil, and eggs with a large spoon. This will be very thick and will form a ball. Put half the mixture into a 9"x13" pan, ungreased. Press it with your fingers to cover the bottom of the pan. In a small saucepan, melt the butter, condensed milk, and chocolate chips. Stir until well mixed and melted. Pour chocolate mixture over the cake mix in the pan. Use a spatula to spread it evently over the cake mixture. Top with the rest of the batter (careful - the chocolate mix will be hot!). Break the dough into pieces and place over the chocolate mixture. Leave it in pieces so you can see the chocolate. Bake for 17-20 minutes. Watch carefully so you don't overbake it.

HALLOWEEN CAN'T LEAVE ALONE BARS
From a cake mix! Easy and impressive! This version of the recipe from Taste Of Homes' Cake Mix Creations, has slightly more specific instructions and added ingredients than another recipe posted here. I'm sure they taste just the same, but I wanted to get this tried and true recipe in for my own records. I've used this for HALLOWEEN and CHRISTMAS with different food colorings for either the crust or the top batter or both, and have left plain for everyday. Bonus: They freeze very well. I've also found that they need to be cut smaller than your average bar size as they're very rich.(and I love chocolate!)

'CAN'T LEAVE ALONE' BARS
This recipe is from Taste of Home Church Supper Desserts, one of a set of six published by Readers Digest and sold on QVC. Adjusted the recipe a little, I added some chopped pecans on top of the chocolate layer, and used Nestles Swirled Milk Choc & Peanut Butter Morsels instead of semisweet. Hope you will give these a try,...

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Get a 13" x 9" pan, grease or spray with cooking spray. Set aside.
- 2. In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs and oil. Using a spoon, mix well until thick dough forms. Take 2/3 of dough and press into greased/sprayed pan. Press with your hands or spatula to evenly distribute. Set aside the remaining dough.
- 3. In microwave safe bowl, place cubed butter, chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Heat in microwave on 50% power until melted; it took mine about 45 sec to melt. Using a spoon, stir until mixture blends and is smooth.
- 4. Pour melted mixture over the crust in pan, making sure it goes into the corners well. It will be runny but thick.
- 5. I added this step: Sprinkle 1/2 cup chopped pecans over the chocolate layer. Take remaining dough and tear into little pieces and drop all over mixture in pan.
- 6. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes, or until bits of dough are light golden and center seems set (it will still jiggle just a little).
- 7. Remove from oven and cool pan on wire rack. Cut when completely cool. Cut into 24 squares (6 long by 4 wide). Enjoy! These are really rich!
