Number Of Ingredients 9

10 cups broccoli florets (about 3-1/2 pounds)
6 cups seedless red grapes (about 3 pounds)
1 cup sliced celery
6 green onions, sliced
2 cups mayonnaise
2/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 pound sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
1-1/3 cups slivered almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • In a large salad bowl, combine the broccoli, grapes, celery and onions. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss to coat. , Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Just before serving, gently stir in bacon and almonds.

1 head broccoli
1/2 lb swiss cheese, grated
2 green onions, chopped
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 dash cayenne pepper
1/2 lb bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

Steps:

  • Wash the broccoli and cut the florets into bite sized pieces.
  • Combine broccoli with the cheese in a large bowl.
  • Add the green onions and toss well.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the mayo, sugar, vinegar and cayenne.
  • Pour over the broccoli mixture and stir well.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Just before serving stir in half the bacon and sprinkle the other half on top.

3 heads broccoli, cut heads into bite size pieces
1/4 cup red onion, small pieces
1 cup raisins (I have used what ever I have on hand)
3/4 cup sunflower seeds (without shell)
1/2 cup colby cheese or 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/2-2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (to your desire)
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Mix dressing and set a side for a minimum one hour or overnight.
  • Mix broccoli mix and dressing together (add dressing to desired creaminess). Let sit for an hour. Serve.

One of my personal favorite vegetable salad recipes. I love the mild vinegar taste the dressing has.

2 heads broccoli
2 medium onions, diced
1 c extra sharp shredded cheese
1 lb bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 c mayonnaise
1/2 c sugar
6 Tbsp red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp bacon grease drippings

Steps:

  • 1. Cut broccoli flowerettes into bite sized pieces.
  • 2. Stir together broccoli, onions, cheese and bacon.
  • 3. Whisk together mayonnaise, sugar, red wine vinegar and bacon drippings. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss well. Let set in refrigerator at least one hour before serving.

6 cup(s) broccoli florets
3/4 cup(s) raisens
3/4 cup(s) sunflower seeds
1/2 medium red onion, chopped
1 pound(s) bacon, cooked and crumbled
16 ounce(s) shredded cheese
2 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 tablespoon(s) vinegar
2 tablespoon(s) veggie oil
1 tablespoon(s) mustard
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Mix together, mayo,sugar, vinegar, oil, mustard, garlic powder, and pepper, set aside
  • In a large bowl cut the Cauliflower and the Broccoli into bite size pieces. Add the rest of the ingredients. Toss together well. ** I sometimes will add shredded carrots, radishes to this to add more flavor.
  • Add the dressing, mix well and refrigerate untill serving time. *** You may need to adjust the dressing depending on how much broccoli and cauliflower you have. You may need more or less.* I usually make extra dressing, so if I need more I have it ready, You can enlarge the amounts if you need to.
