BREADED ITALIAN GREEN BEANS
A super-fast side dish using canned green beans for a cook in a hurry. My kids request these over and over. My sister-in-laws originally made this and I've adapted my own quick version.

Steps:
- Open and drain liquid from the green beans and put in a non-stick frying pan.
- Peel garlic cloves and put them through a garlic press into the pan.
- Place the butter or margarine in pan and sautee together on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and toss green beans with the bread crumbs until coated.
- Place in serving dish and enjoy!

Steps:
- Cut ends off green beans Prepare ice bath "par boil" green beans (put in boiling water for about 5 mins, semi cook) Put in ice bath to stop cooking (dont want them to be too soft when cooking is complete) Put olive oil in pan, medium-high heat, add garlic and green beans Cook until garlic is cooked (golden brown), and bread crumbs (and a little butter if desired) Make sure nothing is sticking to bottom of pan
BREADED GREEN BEANS
This is the kind of basic recipe you can make as is, or add some other flavors, such as: grated lemon peel, basil, parmesan. Get as creative as you like! As I always say, "Play with your food!"

- 1. Snip and clean fresh beans, blanch in boiling water for 5 minutes. If using canned, just drain liquid.
- 2. Peel garlic cloves and put them through a garlic press into the pan. Add butter and beans; sautee on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- 3. Turn off heat and toss green beans with the bread crumbs until coated.
