1 lb lean ground beef
1 lb sausage (bulk (I like to use hot))
1 cup celery (chopped)
1/4 cup onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
14.5 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup
14.5 ounces condensed cream of celery soup
32 ounces chicken stock or broth
2 cups white rice (long grain)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place ground beef and sausage to a large skillet, crumble and brown on medium high heat until about half cooked. Add in celery and onion and cook until soft and meat is done. About 7 to 10 minutes total.
  • Add in cream of celery and chicken soups, chicken stock and stir until combined. Then pour in rice and mix until completely blended.
  • Pour into 9 x 13 baking dish and cover tightly with foil. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Remove from oven when done and fluff with a fork.

2 teaspoons olive oil
2 pounds Italian sausage links, cut into 2-inch pieces
¼ cup olive oil
4 large potatoes, peeled and thickly sliced
2 large green bell peppers, seeded and cut into wedges
2 large red bell peppers, seeded and cut into wedges
3 large onions, cut into wedges
½ cup white wine
½ cup chicken stock
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook and stir the sausage until browned. Transfer the cooked sausage to a large baking dish.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil into the skillet, and cook the potatoes, stirring occasionally, until browned, about 10 minutes. Place the potatoes into the baking dish, leaving some oil in the skillet.
  • Cook and stir the green and red peppers and onions in the hot skillet until they are beginning to soften, about 5 minutes. Add the vegetables to the baking dish.
  • Pour wine and chicken stock over the vegetables and sausage, and sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Gently stir the sausage, potatoes, and vegetables together.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until hot and bubbling, 20 to 25 minutes. Serve hot.

This is an easy baked ziti casserole with ground beef, Italian sausage, and three kinds of cheese. It's a hearty, comforting dish.

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 pound lean ground beef (at least 85% lean)
1/2 pound bulk sweet Italian sausage
1 medium onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried leaf basil
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Kosher salt (to taste)
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
1 cup ricotta cheese (whole milk)
3/4 cup fresh Parmesan cheese (grated, divided)
1 large egg
3 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded, divided)
8 ounces ziti pasta
1 to 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
Optional: garlic bread, tossed green salad, or Caesar salad (for serving)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Heat the oven to 350 F. Lightly grease or spray a 2 1/2- to a 3-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, sausage, and onion. Cook, stirring until the meat is no longer pink and the onion is translucent.
  • Add the garlic to the meat mixture and cook, while stirring, for 1 minute longer.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, and crushed red pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 to 12 minutes. Taste and add salt and pepper, as needed.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and mozzarella cheese. Stir until well blended.
  • While the sauce is simmering, cook the ziti in boiling salted water following the directions on the package. Drain well.
  • Add the hot drained pasta to the bowl with the ricotta cheese mixture. Toss lightly to blend.
  • Add 2 cups of the meat sauce to the ziti mixture.
  • Transfer half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • Spread about half of the remaining meat sauce over the pasta, and then top with the Parmesan cheese and 1 cup of the remaining mozzarella.
  • Top with the remaining pasta mixture.
  • Finish with the remaining meat sauce, remaining mozzarella cheese, and sprinkle with the chopped parsley.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until hot and bubbly around the edges.
  • Serve and enjoy.

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 can (8-ounces) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
4 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • Preheat oven to 425F. Crumble and cook sausage in medium skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off any drippings. Line bottom of greased 13" x 9" baking dish with crescent roll dough, firmly pressing perforations to seal. Sprinkle with sausage and cheese. 1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (31 ounces) pork and beans

1 can (15-1/2 ounces) black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained

I received this recipe from my mothers best friend Lucy. This is one of my favorite meals. This is a great dish for pot-lucks. It would also be great on a cold winters night. I also like to make it a day or two before it is to be eaten.

2 packages smoked sausage
1 1/2 lbs stewing beef
2 large onions
2 -3 green peppers
2 cloves garlic
6 large potatoes, sliced to 1/8 inch thick
2 cans kidney beans, drained
1 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes, dissolved in
1 cup boiling water

Steps:

  • Heat skillet to medium heat.
  • Brown sausage well, When finished put the sausage into a large casserole dish.
  • Brown the stew beef and add to the sausage.
  • Sauté onion and garlic till tender.
  • Add green peppers cook additional minute.
  • Add into meat.
  • Stir-fry potatoes a little and add to meat.
  • Add beans, bouillon and seasonings.
  • Stir well.

1 lb hot Italian sausage or 1 lb sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 teaspoons dried oregano, crumbled
1 teaspoon dried thyme, crumbled
1 (28 ounce) can Italian plum tomatoes, drained (reserve 2 tablespoons juice)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed, drained
salt and pepper
1 lb mostaccioli pasta, cooked al dente, drained
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley
nonstick cooking spray
12 ounces fontina or 12 ounces provolone cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cook first 6 ingredients in large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat until sausage and beef are brown, crumbling with fork, about 5 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, 2 tablespoons juice (from tomatoes), tomato paste and pepper flakes; simmer 5 minutes, breaking up tomatoes with back of spoon.
  • Add kidney beans and heat through.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add mostaccioli, Parmesan and parsley and toss to combine.
  • Spray 9-by-13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  • Transfer mixture to prepared pan.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.

This is something that just came to me. When I use pasta. I do not like just using boiling water to cook pasta. I like to add flavor to all the things I cook from start to fnish..

2 1/2 cup(s) pasta shells, i use the large ones.
3 cup(s) beef stock.
1 stick(s) butter,unsalted.
1/2 pound(s) beef hamburger
1 pound(s) sausage, italian
1 cup(s) shredded cheese, your choice
1 1/2 cup(s) bread crumbs, seasoned
2 can(s) cream of mushroomand roasted garlic soup, undeluted.
- a few dashes of hot sauce.
- salt and pepper to taste.
1 medium onoin, diced and cooked.
4 slice(s) cooked and chopped bacon.

Steps:

  • In a large cast iron skillet add a little olive oil or cooking oil. Heat to med-high. In a large sauce pan add beef stock. bring to a boil. Add uncooked pasta. Bring back to a low boil and cook pasta. ( I add a little salt and pepper, and some butte.) Cook for 8-10 minutes Wile pasta is cooking. In the skillet cook bacon till almost cooked.Remove from the pan and let drain.
  • Remove all but a tablespoon of dripping's. Add ground beef and cook till no longer pink. Remove and save.. Remove any fluids. Add a tablespoon of bacon drippings cook sausage till no longer pink. Remove from pan. Add to cooked ground beef and mix. add a teaspoon of butter and cook onions for 5-8 minutes. mix with the meat Set aside for now.
  • Remove cooked pasta from sauce pan and reserve the stock. Now add the 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and stir. add a few splashes of hot sauce. Add pasta, beef and sausage mixture to the sauce pan and mix... Pre-heat oven to 375. In a 12x12 baking dish dish. Pour pasta mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the top. Cover with foil. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.. Remove foil. Spread chees over the top and bake for 10-15 minutes.. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve warm..
