BLACK SESAME AND WALNUT BANANA BREAD
This recipe requires the 'Black Sesame Seed and Walnut Mix' that I submitted on this website. I make this bread twice a week. It's our all-time family favorite!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a bowl. Mix banana, white sugar, brown sugar, egg white, milk, canola oil, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture just until batter is moistened. Fold sesame seeds and walnuts into batter; pour into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

BLACK WALNUT BANANA NUT BREAD
This is my favorite recipe for Banana Nut Bread. When it cools it has a pretty marbled center. I dust it with powdered sugar after it cools.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease and flour 2 loaf pans or 1 bunt pan.
- Combine all ingredients, except nuts, in a large bowl.
- With mixer blend until smooth.
- Stir in the nuts, dredged with a little flour.
- Pour into prepared pans and bake for about 1 hour.
EASY PUMPKIN BLACK WALNUT BREAD (CAKE)
The original recipe came from my G.S. leader back in the 1973. Our troop made and sold cranberry, cranberry nut, banana or banana nut bread to help pay for a troop trip. I have also made blueberry nut, cherry nut bread and apple nut bread using the same recipe minus the pumpkin pie spices and pumpkin pie filling. If you make the banana nut bread it calls for two ripe bananas. My DD has also made muffins from the recipe for Thanksgiving dinner.

ZUCCHINI CARROT BLACK WALNUT BREAD
Black walnuts are a native American nut that has a strong, slightly bitter flavor. They are not always easy to find in the grocery, but you can substitute regular walnuts with equally good results. This bread can be frozen. As soon as possible after cooling, enclose bread in a plastic freezer bag, plastic wrap, or foil and seal well. Will stay fresh for two to three months. When ready to serve, simply remove the wrapped bread from the freezer and allow bread to stand, still wrapped, at room temperature until thawed. Or unwrap the bread and place on a baking sheet in a 350 F. oven for ten to fifteen minutes until thawed.

- Preheat the oven to 350°F Butter ONE-8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch pan OR three - 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 inch loaf pans.
- In a large bowl using an electric mixer, beat the eggs until foamy. Add the oil, sugars and vanilla and beat at high speed until the mixture is very thick and fluffy.
- With a spoon, stir in the shredded zucchini and carrot.
- Stir the flour, wheat germ, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and walnuts together in another bowl. Blend into the zucchini mixture just until the flour is no longer visible. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan or pans.
- Bake for 1 hour for the large loaf, or 35 to 40 minutes for the smaller loaves, or until a wooden skewer inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool thoroughly. Makes 1 Large OR 3 Small loaves.

BLUEBERRY BLACK WALNUT BREAD (CAKE)
This recipe began as a scout project back in the 1970's as a cranberry nut bread, but I prefer blue berries. Black walnuts have a distinct strong flavor, so don't use any more than recipe calls for.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a loaf pan and set aside. Combine the eggs, oil, pumpkin and water in a large bowl. Sift the dry ingredients together and stir into pumpkin mixture. Stir in walnuts. Pour into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for one hour or until a tester inserted near the center comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired. Enjoy!

- 1. In large mixing bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add walnuts and KELLOGG'S ALL-BRAN cereal. Set aside.2. Combine egg, milk and cooled, melted shortening in small mixing bowl. Add to cereal mixture, stirring only until combined. Spread evenly in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.3. Bake at 375°F about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool completely on wire rack.

- cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. add eggs and beat well. sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- dredge cherries and nuts in 1/4 cup flour mixture.
- add balance of flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture.
- stir in cherries and nuts. turn into a greased 5.5x9x5 inch loaf pan.
- bake in oven for 1 hour.
