SARA'S BLACK BEAN CROCKPOT CHILI
I got this recipe from my daughter-in-law, Sara - thus the name. I think it originally came from a Martha Stewart recipe but we've tweeked it a bit. Really good and really easy

Steps:
- Add all ingredients to crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 6 hours or until beans are done.
- Serve topped with shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and chopped onions.
BLACK BEAN CROCKPOT CHILI
Steps:
- Heat the oil in a skillet and saute the onions, garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook 1 minute, then add chili powder and cumin and cook 2 minutes, stirring.Add this mixture to the slow cooker/Crock Pot along with all remaining ingredients except canned beans and garnishes. Stir well and cook on low all day. Stir in canned beans an hour or so before serving. Serve with garnishes.
CROCKPOT BLACK BEAN CHILI
This chili is so easy and delicious - my husband requests it once a week in the winter! It's relatively healthy and makes for great leftovers! We add a little extra red crushed pepper for a great KICK!

Steps:
- 1. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Cook onion and garlic until the onions are just slightly translucent. Add the turkey and cook, stirring until meat is browned.
- 2. While the meat is cooking, mix black beans, green beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, oregano, basil, red crushed pepper flakes (to your liking) and vinegar into the crock pot. Once the meat is finished browning, add the meat, onions and garlic. Mix well.
- 3. Cook on high for 2 hours or on low for 4 hours. Serve with cornbread.
