1 pound ground beef
1 can (15-3/4 ounces) pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, onion and salt; mix well. Bring to a boil. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Separate biscuits and arrange over the hot beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. , Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 18-20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

1 cooking spray
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onions
1 cup chopped celery
1 pound ground beef
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 cups beef broth
1 ½ teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup buttermilk
3 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick® Heart Smart Pancake and Baking Mix)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a glass baking dish (such as Pyrex®) with cooking spray.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add carrots, onions, and celery and saute until onions are translucent, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • At the same time, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  • Move beef to one side of the skillet and melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour a little at a time until combined; whisk in milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Stir in beef broth. Add sauteed vegetables, garlic salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; cover and remove from heat.
  • Add buttermilk to baking mix. Stir until a soft dough forms. Place on waxed paper. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch round biscuit cutter dipped in baking mix.
  • Pour the beef mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with biscuits.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until biscuits are browned, 24 to 25 minutes.

This came from Pillsbury's Harvest Time Cook Book. My husband and I can almost eat the whole thing ourselves - it is sooo good.

1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 (1 1/3 ounce) package sloppy joe seasoning mix (reserve 1 T.of the mix)
1 (31 ounce) can baked beans
2 -4 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
1 (10 ounce) can Hungry Jack big flaky refrigerated biscuits
1 1/2 ounces cheddar cheese or 1 1/2 ounces American cheese, cut into ten 1/2 inch cubes

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In 10-inch ovenproof skillet, brown ground beef and onion; drain.
  • Reserve 1 T seasoning mix; set aside.
  • Add remaining seasoning mix, beans, brown sugar and catsup to ground beef; heat until hot and bubbly.
  • Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits.
  • Place cheese cube in center of each biscuit.
  • Fold dough over cheese, covering completely; seal well, shaping into balls.
  • Roll each biscuit in reserved seasoning mix; arrange biscuits on hot meat mixture.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until biscuits are a deep golden brown.
  • Serve immediately.

1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 (7 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in an ovenproof skillet.
  • Drain fat.
  • Add green beans, tomato sauce, basil, salt and pepper, stirring to mix.
  • Simmer meat mixture for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir cheese into meat sauce.
  • Separate biscuits, and cut a hole in the center of each.
  • Form biscuits to look like a donut, and place biscuits in a ring around the edges of the skillet, and brush the tops with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle meat sauce with sesame seeds before baking.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until biscuits are golden.

This recipe came from a church friend who makes this for potluck dinners. Both kids and adults like this a lot and it always disappears.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can(s) (28 ounces) baked beans, undrained
1/2 c bbq sauce
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c catsup
salt and pepper to taste
1 can(s) refrigerated biscuits, (6 biscuits)
1 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Brown beef, garlic, and onion is a skillet until all pink is gone and onions are tender. Drain. Add beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, catsup, and salt and pepper. Simmer for 5-6 minutes or until hot through-out.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pour meat mixture into a 7 by 11 inch casserole. Separate biscuits and slice them in half, making 2 thinner circles of each biscuit. Place biscuits on top of meat mixture. Bake for 18 minutes. Remove from oven and top biscuits with cheese. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes or until cheese has melted. Serve immediately.

1/4 cup 2% milk

1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup cubed Velveeta
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated biscuits
2 to 3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/3 cup yellow cornmeal

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a saucepan over medium heat, cook beef until no longer pink; drain. Add beans, corn, soup, milk, onion, chili powder and salt; bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in cheese until melted. Spoon into a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes., Meanwhile, brush all sides of biscuits with butter; roll in cornmeal. Place on top of bubbling meat mixture. Return to oven 10-12 minutes or until biscuits are lightly browned and cooked through.
