1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix
Water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on cake mix box
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
1 container (13.5 oz) strawberry glaze

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or spray bottom only with cooking spray.
  • Make and bake 13x9-inch cake as directed on box, using water, oil and eggs. Cool completely, about 1 hour
  • In large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread evenly over cake.
  • In medium bowl, gently stir together sliced strawberries and strawberry glaze. Spread mixture on top of cream cheese layer. Cut and serve. Store in refrigerator.

1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
Butter or margarine, softened
Cream or sweetened whipped cream

Steps:

  • Sprinkle strawberries with 1/2 cup sugar; let stand 1 hour.
  • Heat oven to 450°F. Grease bottom and side of round pan, 8x1 1/2 inches.
  • Cut shortening into flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, the baking powder and salt in medium bowl, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in milk just until blended. Pat dough in pan.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Split layer horizontally in half while hot. Spread with butter; fill and top with strawberries. Serve warm with cream.

2/3 cup milk
3 tablespoons sugar
Grated peel of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
2 tablespoons sugar (or decorating sugar)
1 pint (12 oz) fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
Whipped cream for garnish

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 425°F.
  • In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk, 3 tablespoons sugar, lemon peel, and the butter until soft dough forms.
  • On ungreased cookie sheet, drop dough by spoonfuls to make 6 shortcakes. Sprinkle sugar over tops using 2 tablespoons sugar.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, in 1 quart saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, stir in blackberries.
  • Split warm shortcakes; fill with blackberries and syrup. Cover with top halves of shortcakes; dollop with whipped cream and additional blackberries.

Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch for drop cookies
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 container (7.5 oz) strawberry cream cheese spread, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup strawberry jam
1 container (12 oz) Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 boxes (4-serving size each) Jell-O™ vanilla-flavor instant pudding and pie filling mix
3 cups cold milk
1 cup chopped fresh strawberries (about 6 oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Make and bake drop cookies as directed on pouch. Cool completely, at least 20 minutes. Set aside 4 cookies for garnish.
  • In food processor, process half of the remaining cookies to coarse crumbs. Remove to medium bowl. Continue to process second half of remaining cookies to coarse crumbs; add to bowl. Stir in melted butter until well blended. In ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, press cookie crumb mixture firmly in bottom. Set aside.
  • In large bowl, beat cream cheese spread, powdered sugar and jam with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth, scraping down side of bowl frequently. Beat in 2 cups of the whipped topping. Spread over cookie crust.

1 cup milk
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

2 teaspoons lemon juice
3/4 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 oz cream cheese, softened
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325°F. Generously spray 10- or 12-cup bundt cake pan with cooking spray with flour.
  • In large bowl, beat Cake ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly. Increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes, and pour batter into pan.
  • Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in food processor or blender, puree Strawberry Poke Mixture ingredients until smooth; transfer to 4-cup glass measuring cup, and set aside. While still in pan, poke holes in cake with end of wooden spoon at 1/2-inch intervals going almost to bottom. Use wet paper towel to wipe ends of spoon after each poke. Carefully pour poke mixture over holes in cake, using spoon to direct mixture into holes. If necessary, poke existing holes to make room for more mixture.
  • Cool 40 minutes; refrigerate in pan 2 hours. Remove from refrigerator, and run metal spatula around outer and inside edges of pan to loosen cake; turn upside down onto serving platter.
  • In medium bowl, mix Cream Cheese Glaze ingredients with electric mixer on low speed until smooth. If too thick, add additional milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency. Glaze cake as desired; garnish with strawberries.
