BEST GROUND BEEF TACO FILLING
The perfect blend of herbs and spices, along with garlic, jalapeno and onion, make this homemade ground beef taco filling absolute best ever!

Steps:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion, garlic and jalapeno, breaking the meat into small pieces, until beef is cooked through, 6-8 minutes; drain grease if needed.
- Stir in all of the spices, along with salt and pepper, to taste. Cook for an additional minute or two.
- Stir in the tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Reseason with salt and pepper, to taste, if needed.
- Serve with taco shells, tortillas, and your favorite taco toppings.

- Saute the beef and onion in a nonstick skillet until just browned. Drain off any grease. Add to a 4-quart slow cooker. Break up any large pieces of beef with a spoon.
- Add the remaining ingredients and stir. Cook on low for 7 hours. Stir prior to serving.

BEST EVER TACO MEAT FILLING (USES SLOW COOKER)
This is the best taco meat recipe filling I have found. I use it in tacos, burritos, and taco salads. Recipe came from a friend. I like to make a double batch and freeze half of it to use later.

Steps:
- Combine all ingresients, except salsa in slow cooker. Add just enough water to cover roast. Put lid on cooker and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until meat is very tender and easy to pull apart with a fork.
- Remove meat from cooker. Remove liquid in cooker and set aside. Return meat to cooker, add salsa, add enough of reserved liquid to make a taco filling the consistency you like. More or less liquid is fine. Check seasonings adding hot pepper sauce, salt, papper, etc as desired.
- NOTE: Can be used for tacos, burritos, taco salads, or in any other way you would use seasoned taco meat.
