4 tablespoons cocoa
4 tablespoons butter
1 (8 ounce) can condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Blend sugar and cocoa.
  • Combine with margarine and milk in a pot on stove.
  • Boil, stirring constantly, for 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • This wonderful sauce is even better the next day.
  • Refrigerate and use unsparingly.

1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup half-and-half cream
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Put all ingredients except vanilla into saucepan.
  • Whisk thoroughly and slowly bring to a boil.
  • Simmer 10 minutes, stirring periodically.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

A gorgeously luscious chocolate sauce ONLY suitable for your favourite vanilla ice cream!

  • Gently warm the chocolate and cream in a heavy-based pan on the stove or two minutes in the microwave at 30% power if you prefer (but then please make sure it is in a microwaveable bowl!). Stir occasionally, until the chocolate and cream have become one.
  • Add the syrup, butter and salt, and stir in to make your indulgent gooey shiny sauce
  • Pour lovingly over your ice cream while still warm!
