Yes there are a lot of different chicken divan recipe's out there but I will swear on this one as being the best. I have been making this for years now and it ALWAYS get's gobbled up. Out of everything I cook, my husband gets excited about this dish more than any other. It's a for sure crowd pleaser- no doubt! The lemon juice is what really makes the recipe- I don't ever really measure it just squeeze into the dish until I feel like it's enough!

3 -4 chicken breasts, cooked (I boil in water)
16 ounces frozen broccoli, or
16 ounces fresh broccoli
2 (10 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cheddar cheese
1/4 cup lemon juice
Ritz cracker

Steps:

  • 1. Boil chicken breasts in water until cooked through.
  • 2. Place broccoli on bottom of 13x9 casserole dish.
  • 3. In a medium bowl mix soups, mayonaise, chedder cheese and lemon juice.
  • 4. Cover broccoli with soup /mayo mix.
  • 5. Cover casserole with foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
  • 6. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • 7. Crumble up RITZ crackers and sprinkle ontop of casserole dish once it's finished cooking.

This is another one of my mother in law's recipes. It is my absolute favorite dish that she makes! Please try this..You'll be hooked!

Yield 1 large casserole

Number Of Ingredients 11

6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or with bones)
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen broccoli
1 cup mayonnaise
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 tablespoons cooking sherry or 2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, approximate
4 -5 pieces bread
butter
white rice or yellow rice

Steps:

  • Boil chicken until white and then cut chicken into small pieces.
  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Butter a large deep pan and pour the broccoli into it.
  • Sprinkle chicken over top of the broccoli.
  • In a med. bowl combine the mayo, two cans of soup, curry powder, salt, and sherry.
  • Pour over the chicken.
  • Top w/ the shredded cheese.
  • Toast the pieces of bread.
  • Melt about half a stick of butter in the microwave (add enough butter to lightly soak the bread pieces) Cube the pieces of bread and throw them in the butter.
  • Lightly mix.
  • Put the bread mixture on top of the casserole.
  • Bake approx 40 minutes.
  • Serve over white/ yellow rice and homemade biscuits!
  • Enjoy!

4 broccoli crowns, steamed
1 lb boneless skinless chicken, boiled
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup KRAFT mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
1 lb KRAFT Cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Place broccoli in bottom of 13x9 pan to cover pan completely. Shred chicken with hands, cover broccoli with layer of chicken.
  • Mix soup, mayo, and lemon juice. Spread over chicken layer. Top with layer of cheese.
  • Bake until cheese is melted.

When my uncle was a market gardner, he gave us a bushel full of broccoli at a time & this was a hit for all my family. I use light or fat free where possible & you can add garlic to taste. Serve on a bed of rice, or noodles.

2 bunch(es) broccoli
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup fat free
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup fat free
1/2 cup(s) sour cream, lite
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice concentrate
1 teaspoon(s) soy sauce, light
1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
2 cup(s) cubed cooked chicken
1 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine
1/3 cup(s) parmesan cheese, fat-free
1/4 cup(s) bread crumbs, seasoned

Steps:

  • par boil broccoli, drain well and layer in 9 X 13 baking dish. cook chicken in water in microwave while broccoli is on. 7 - 10 minutes until no longer pink. discard water & cube chicken.
  • In medium bowl mix soups, sour cream, lemon juice, soy sauce & garlic powder. stir in chicken & pour over broccoli. set aside
  • In small bowl melt butter or margerine in microwave for 30 - 45 seconds. stir in Parmesan & bread crumbs. Sprinkle over casserole. Cover with wax paper & microwave at high for 12 -14 minutes. Serve over a bed of rice.
