ASIAGO BREAD BOWL DIP (AKA THE BEST APPETIZER EVER!)

Asiago Bread Bowl Dip (AKA The Best Appetizer EVER!) image

This cheese dip is AMAZING! I get compliments and requests for the recipe every time I make it. Use aluminum foil to cover bread bowl while baking if cheese begins to darken too quickly. Serve with Wheat Thins.

BEST EVER EASY SWEDISH MEATBALL APPETIZER

Best Ever Easy Swedish Meatball Appetizer image

My aunt gave me this recipe once when I was trying to think of something to take to a picnic. This is so easy and delicious; every time I have made it I never bring home leftovers! They disappear and everyone begs for the recipe! You can use your own homemade meatballs, but I just use a bag of prepared frozen Swedish meatballs! Sometimes I add potatoes and make it a meal over rice or egg noodles!

Time 2h5m

Yield 64 Meatballs, 10-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 bag frozen swedish meatballs (64 Count)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can 98% fat-free condensed cream of celery soup
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can French onion soup
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Turn your crock pot on and get it warmed up. You can put it on High to start. Add the Meatballs and then add the Cream of Celery Soup, French Onion Soup and water. Stir everything together. After about 30-45 minutes turn it down to low and let simmer until you are ready to serve.
  • *Variation - Cut up 4-5 large Yukon gold potatoes into large 2 inch pieces. Boil potatoes for about 8-10 minutes and add to the crock pot with the meatballs. Add a can of Cream of Mushroom soup for extra gravy.

BEST APPETIZER EVER!!

Best Appetizer Ever!! image

I modified this recipe from the Harry and David website. This is so simple and yields a ton of appetizers. You could easily modify it for a nice breakfast too. It can be served hot, warm or room temperature (cold might even work, but I've never kept it around long enough to put it in the fridge!). This gets gobbled up quickly whenever it's made!

Time 55m

Yield 48 appetizers, 14-16 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 ounces monterey jack cheese, shredded
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
10 eggs, lightly beaten
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
3/4 cup salsa
2 (4 ounce) cans chopped green chilies, well drained

Steps:

  • Combine cheeses, eggs, milk and chiles.
  • Spray 18 x 13 inch jelly roll pan with butter spray, and add mixture. If you can't find a pan that size, use any pan sizes you can find, and pour between 1/2 and 3/4 inches thick (I use a 11 x 17 jelly roll pan plus a 8 x 4 bread pan).
  • Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • Cool in pan for 10 minutes, cut into small squares or triangles and serve!
