BEANIE WEENIES
My version of beans and franks. One daughter likes the beans part and the other daughter likes the franks part. Even though this seems like it is mostly for kids, I eat this all the time myself. It only takes about 10 minutes to make.

HOMEMADE BEANIE WEENIES
My sons loved this dish when they were young and the oldest one still does. It's a quick fix for a busy week night or weekend. What I love about them you can add more beans or franks. You might want to add a little brown sugar or even barbeque sauce, but this is the way I make them everytime.

JACK'S BEANIE-WEENIES
This is my Dad's famous recipe. He used to make it for my sister and I when we were little and we both loved it! Use kosher hot dogs for the best flavor.

FANCY BEANIE-WEENIES
A very kid-friendly meal. Basically I took regular ol' "Beanie Weenies" (hot dogs & beans) and added to them to make it a more 'acceptable' dish for the grown-ups in the house. Ha ha! In the picture I didn't include the cheese on top, simply because I had none available, but the cheese would be delicious! ** This recipe...

ONE POT WEEKNIGHT BEANIE WEENIES
I'm almost embarrassed to post that I make beanie weenies for dinner, but it is just so fast. It really hits the spot on a cold and rainy (but very busy!) weeknight. Excellent with a grilled cheese sandwich or side of chips or cottage cheese!

Steps:
- in a large skillet, fry the half pound of bacon till crispy, set aside to cool. In 3 tblsp of reserved bacon fat, saute the onion, green pepper, and little smokies till the vegetables are just carmelized and the sausages are heated through.
- open and drain the two large cans of baked beans then dump them into a large 9 x 15 pan. Crumble the crispy bacon into the beans, then add your vegetables, brown sugar, sausages, salsa, seasoning mix and mustard. Stir well then add the salt and the chili powder. Taste and decide if you like it sweeter or more savory and add more chili powder and salt if you need to. Lay the 5 strips of raw bacon across the top and put in the fridge to give flavors time to blend.
- Preheat oven to 350 then place the pan in the middle of the oven and bake 1 - 1 1/2 hours ... till the beans are bubbly and bacon is crisp. Let rest for about 20 minutes, then serve
