All-American Barbecue Sandwiches image

I came up with this delicious BBQ sandwich on my own. Out of all my barbecue recipes, this one's my husband's favorite. It's also a big hit with family and friends who enjoy it at our Fourth of July picnic.-Sue Gronholz, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin

4-1/2 pounds ground beef
1-1/2 cups chopped onions
2-1/4 cups ketchup
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
18 hamburger buns, split

Steps:

  • In a Dutch oven, cook beef and onions until meat is no longer pink and onion is tender; drain. Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Heat through. Serve on buns.

Fresh Mozzarella, Basil And Tomato On Town House Toppers image

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups seeded and finely chopped tomatoes
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into 1/4" pieces
1/4 cup slivered fresh basil
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sun-dried tomato salad dressing
48 Keebler® Town House® Toppers Original crackers

Steps:

  • In medium bowl toss together tomatoes, cheese, basil, onions, pepper and salt. Drizzle with salad dressing. Toss to coat. Serve with crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 17

4 cups water
1 1/2 pounds lean pork stew meat
1 medium onion, quartered
4 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorn
SAUCE
3/4 cup chili sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons Dijon style mustard
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon celery seed
48 Keebler® Town House® Toppers Original crackers
TOPPINGS
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/3 cup sliced green onions

Steps:

  • 1. In Dutch oven combine water, pork, onion, garlic and peppercorns. Bring to boiling reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes or until pork is tender. Drain meat. Discard onion, garlic and peppercorns.*2. Cool meat slightly. Use two forks to shred meat, discarding any fat or cartilage.*3. In medium saucepan combine meat, chili sauce, honey, soy sauce, mustard, crushed red pepper, onion, powder and celery seed. Cook, covered, over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon onto crackers. Top with cheese and onions.*NOTE: If desired, substitute one 1 1/2-to 13/4 pound purchased deli roasted chicken for the first 5 ingredients. Omit steps 1 and 2 of the directions. Remove chicken meat from bones. Shred chicken discard bones and skin. Continue as directed in step 3 above.
