This is a delicious smoothie recipe that I stumbled upon while in the kitchen. It is a great treat on a warm summer day. Try vanilla yogurt for even more flavor.

ORANGE, PEACH, STRAWBERRY AND BANANA SMOOTHIE
There is a smoothie bar near where I work and they sell this delicious smoothie called a "sama jama". Well I took a look at what was in it, threw it all in a blender, and voila it was almost identical. This is absolutely delicious and super healthy.

Steps:
- Toss all ingredients into a blender in the order given. Turn blender on and allow it to puree all ingredients until a smooth creamy mixture. If your blender cannot handle this, in the off position, use a spatula to help get the strawberries to the bottom. Continue to do this until the entire mixture is smooth and lump free. If the smoothie is too thick for you (I like mine thick!) then add another 1/4 cup of orange juice to thin out. Pour into two glasses, add fun straws and enjoy!
BANANA PEACH BUTTERMILK SMOOTHIE
I know alot of people turn up their nose, when they hear buttermilk, especially if it isn't being used in baking or something similar, I am the same. When my sister told me about this smoothie, I was not too thrilled, but it turns out to be very good, and doesn't have that bitter buttermilk flavor. And of course it's good for you, cultured dairy foods, like yogurt and buttermilk, keep your digestive tract healthy.

Steps:
- Throw all ingredients in the blender and mix it up to desired thickness. Add ice cubes if you want it to be thicker.
- If you don't have a peach, try peach nonfat yogurt in addition to the plain yogurt. Danon Light and Fit brand is great for those watching their figures. (Only 60 calories per serving!).
- If using fresh fruit, it would probably be best if you added a few ice cubes for a quicker chilling process and a better consistency.

BANANA, STRAWBERRY, PEACH SMOOTHIE
This is my new favorite smoothie! The kids and I usually have a smoothie with lunch and this has been a hit for the past few weeks. I will say that it tastes different each time, probably depending on how ripe and sweet the peach is...and of course, how much sweetener is added! I find that the ripest (softest...without being bruised and damaged) peaches make the best tasting smoothies!!!

Steps:
- 1. Place 1 cup of the ice cubes and pulse to get them going. Add about half of the ice cubes, and bananas, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg and pulse to blend smoothie, about 15 seconds. Add remaining ice, vanilla extract, peaches, strawberries(optional), Apples(optional),peach juice, yogurt with a splash of low fat milk and wheat germ(optional), Pulse to blend these to desired consistency. You want everything blended but have a little testure from the last round of ice. Pour into a glass or to go beverage container and enjoy!
- 2. Note: When I have bananas that I know are ready to be frozen (outside is turning dark). Peel them, and place into individual bags. Some, I break up or slice up and freeze, some cut in half, some left whole. Each bag will contain 1 banana to avoid confusion, or if different, label it. These bags can then be placed into a large freezer bag to avoid any frost. It makes knowing that it is all done for you, you just reach in, grab a bag, plop into your blender with your other ingredients, pour into your glass and go.

Steps:
- 1. Place the bananas, peaches and juice, yogurt, mint and honey in a food processor or blender and blend to a smooth purée, scraping down the sides of the container once or twice. Add the orange juice and blend briefly until mixed. 2. Pour the smoothie into tall glasses and garnish with sprigs of mint, if desired. Banana and peach smoothie variations: For a strawberry and banana smoothie, instead of peaches use 220 g strawberries. Reserve 4 strawberries and blend the remainder with the bananas and yogurt (there is no need to add honey or mint). Mix in apple juice in place of the orange juice. Stir in the grated rind and juice of 1 lime. Pour into glasses and decorate each one with a reserved strawberry skewered on a cocktail stick, if desired.
