1 (18.25 ounce) package butter pecan cake mix
1 ¼ cups water
⅓ cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 bananas, mashed
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup toffee baking bits
½ cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup milk
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously grease and flour a 9-inch fluted tube pan (such as a Bundt®).
  • Mix butter pecan cake mix, water, vegetable oil, eggs, bananas, pecans, and toffee baking bits in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Pour batter into prepared tube pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cake is lightly golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 30 to 40 minutes. Cool the cake in the tube pan for 15 minutes. Place a serving platter on top of the pan and invert pan. Gently lift pan from cake and let cake finish cooling.
  • Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until combined. Bring to a boil, stir in milk, and return to a rolling boil. Remove from heat; beat confectioners' sugar and vanilla extract into butter mixture to make a smooth frosting. Spread over cooled cake and allow to stand until frosting has set, about 15 minutes.

1 teaspoon butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon orange juice
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 large banana, sliced
2 teaspoons chopped pecans, toasted
1/8 teaspoon rum extract
1 cup reduced-fat vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in the brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon and nutmeg until blended. Add banana and pecans; cook until banana is glazed and slightly softened, stirring lightly, 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in extract. Serve with ice cream.

8 teaspoons trail mix
1/4 cup miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Place each banana on a 12-in. square of foil; crimp and shape foil around bananas so they sit flat. Do not close over top., Cut each banana lengthwise about 1/2 in. deep, leaving 1/2 in. uncut at both ends. Gently pull each banana peel open, forming a pocket. 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons rum or unsweetened apple juice
4 medium bananas
2 cups vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, butter and rum. Cut bananas into 1-in. slices; place each banana on a double thickness of heavy-duty foil (about 18 in. x 12 in.). 1 (18 ounce) package duncan hines butter recipe cake mix
4 eggs
1 cup mashed ripe banana (about 3 medium)
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
1 (16 ounce) container vanilla frosting

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt or tube pan.
  • For cake, combine cake mix, eggs, bananas,oil, sugar, milk and vanilla extract in large mixing bowl.
  • Beat at low speed with electric mixer until moistened.
  • Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans.
  • Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • For frosting, place 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans and butter in skillet.
  • Cook on medium heat, stirring until pecans are toasted.
  • Combine nut mixture and frosting in small bowl.

Disposable foil pie pan (9 in.), optional
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons hot caramel ice cream topping
2 cups vanilla ice cream

  • Trim ends and cut unpeeled bananas lengthwise; place on oiled grill rack over medium heat. Grill, covered, until peel is dark brown and bananas are softened, 3-4 minutes on each side. 4 medium firm unpeeled bananas

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine rum, honey and cinnamon; set aside. Cut bananas in half lengthwise, leaving the peel on. , Place bananas cut side down on grill. Cover and grill over medium heat for 3 minutes. Turn and brush with honey mixture. Cover and grill until tender, 5-6 minutes. Peel bananas. Serve immediately with ice cream.
