I saw this recipe on Ricardo & Friends. Looks so yummy and easy to do. I guess that you can try with other olives. I will try with hot pepper stuffed olives. Note : Taste the olives the day before making the recipe. If they are too salty, soak them in cold water for up to 24 hours.

12 slices bacon
36 oil-packed almond-stuffed green olives (see note)

Steps:

  • With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • On a cutting board, cut each bacon slice crosswise into 3 equal pieces. Roll an olive in each bacon piece, securing with a toothpick. Place on the baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is nicely browned and crisp 30 to 35 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve in a large bowl.

30 pitted green olives
10 slices bacon, cut into thirds

Steps:

  • Wrap each olive with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  • Preheat a grill for medium heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate.
  • Grill the olives until the bacon has crisped, about 10 minutes. Turn frequently and keep a spray bottle handy in case of flare-ups from the bacon grease. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to absorb any excess grease.

Steps:

  • Cut bacon in quarters. Wrap each piece around 1 olive; secure with a toothpick.
  • Place on microwave dish and cover with paper towel.
  • Cook covered on high 5 to 6 minutes, or until bacon is crisp and lightly brown. Serve hot.

  • With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 400°F. Stuff olives with cream cheese. Roll an olive in each bacon piece, securing with a toothpick. Place on broiling pan with bottom pan lined with aluminum foil. Bake until the bacon is nicely browned and crisp 30 to 35 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Serve in a large bowl. To save time can broil instead. When bacon on one side is done flip and broil on the other side.

  • Stuff minced onion into cavity of each olive wrap with bacon and fasten with wooden pick. Place in shallow baking pan or broiler pan. Bake at 400° about 20 minutes, or broil 4 to 5 inches from heat about 8 minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Drain on paper towels.
