4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 1/2 lb lean beef stew meat (1/2-inch pieces)
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cans (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes with mild green chilies, undrained
1 jar (12 oz) home-style beef gravy
2 tablespoons chili sauce
4 unpeeled small red potatoes, diced (2 cups)
2 medium carrots, sliced (1 cup)
1 cup frozen whole kernel corn (from 12 oz bag)

Steps:

  • In 4-quart saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until cooked but not crisp. Drain all but 2 tablespoons bacon fat from saucepan.
  • Add beef and onion to bacon; sprinkle with seasoned salt and pepper. Cook 4 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until beef is beginning to brown and onion is tender.
  • Stir in tomatoes, gravy and chili sauce. Heat to boiling. Add potatoes and carrots. Cover; cook over medium-low heat 50 to 60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender.
  • Stir in corn. Cook uncovered 10 to 15 minutes longer, stirring occasionally, until corn is tender.

1 lb bacon, chopped
1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped (1 cup)
1 cup chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (28 oz) Muir Glen™ organic fire roasted crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can (19 oz) Progresso™ red kidney beans, drained, rinsed
1 can (4.5 oz) Old El Paso™ chopped green chiles
1 cup Cascadian Farm™ frozen organic sweet corn
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chili powder
Sour cream
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Chopped onion
Chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Steps:

  • Spray 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
  • In 12-inch skillet, cook bacon 12 to 14 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crispy. Drain on paper towels. Reserve 1/4 cup; cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Add remaining bacon to slow cooker.
  • Reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in skillet. Add beef, bell pepper, onion and garlic. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook 6 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
  • Add beef mixture to slow cooker; stir in remaining chili ingredients. Cover; cook on High heat setting 3 to 4 hours or on Low heat setting 6 to 8 hours. Serve with reserved bacon and Toppings.

1 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
¾ pound cubed beef stew meat
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (16 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 ¾ cups beef broth, divided
1 large onion, chopped
1 small green or red bell pepper, chopped
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons barbeque sauce
1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, or more to taste, minced
¾ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add stew meat and brown for 2 minutes, stirring often. Add chili powder and cumin; cook and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute more. Transfer meat to a large slow cooker.
  • Add diced tomatoes, black beans, kidney beans, 1 1/2 cups beef broth, onion, bell pepper, parsley, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and salt to the slow cooker; stir until well combined.
  • Cover and cook on Low, stirring occasionally, until beef is tender, 6 to 8 hours. Thin the chili with remaining beef broth as it cooks, if consistency is too thick.

1/2 pound beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 teaspoons canola oil
3/4 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup canned diced tomatoes
1/2 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup canned pinto beans, rinsed and drained

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, brown meat in oil on all sides. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, saute onion and green pepper until tender. Return meat to the pan. , Stir in the tomatoes, broth, parsley, chili powder, garlic, cumin and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 to 2 hours or until meat is tender. 1 tablespoon salted butter
4 slices bacon, finely chopped
1 medium onion, diced
1 large clove garlic, diced
1 pound lean ground beef
1 tablespoon dark red chili powder
1 ½ teaspoons dark red chili powder
1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1 (14.5 ounce) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chipotle hot sauce, or more to taste
1 (16 ounce) can black beans
1 (16 ounce) can red kidney beans

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until bacon begins to brown, about 4 minutes. Add onion, cover, and cook until translucent, 4 to 8 minutes. Add garlic; cook and stir for 2 minutes.
