This sounds funny, but is amazing. Easy. Tasty. Rich. Healthy...I even let my kids have it for breakfast sometimes as a treat. I am such a "COOL" mom.;)

1/4 avocado
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
3 ounces vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar

Steps:

  • Peel the very ripe avocado -- the softer ones work better for this.
  • Place everything in a food processor and run until smooth.
  • If you have a sweetener in the yogurt you may skip the added sugar, or use stevia to make this sugar free. I use stevia, but this is the original recipe.

16 oz heavy whipping cream
14 oz condensed milk
1 cup strawberry
¼ cup powdered sugar
3 avocados

Steps:

  • Whisk heavy whipping cream until you reach soft peaks.
  • Blend the strawberries, avocados and condensed milk.
  • Mix everything into the whipped cream and add powdered sugar.
  • Place the mix into the avocado shells and add a thin slice of strawberry on top.
  • As an option, put leftovers in a bowl with slices of strawberry.
  • Freeze for two hours.
  • Enjoy!

Ripe avocado can be frozen in halves, chunks, mashed or pureed. Here Ree blends them with strawberries and yogurt to create these adorable freezer pops, perfect for a hot day.

2 cups frozen strawberries
1 cup vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup honey
1 large avocado, chopped
1 cup finely chopped fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Combine the frozen strawberries, yogurt, honey and avocado in the bowl of a food processor and puree until smooth. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Spoon about a tablespoon of the chopped fresh strawberries into each of 12 small paper cups. Fold the remaining chopped strawberries into the yogurt mixture. Spoon the yogurt mixture on top of the strawberries in each paper cup. Carefully insert an ice-pop stick into each pop. Freeze until solid, about an hour. Peel the paper cups off to serve.
