1 package (8-1/2 ounces) cornbread/muffin mix
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
3 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup chopped sweet red pepper
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup thinly sliced green onions, divided
2 cans (15 ounces each) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
10 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
3-1/2 cups frozen corn, thawed

Steps:

  • Prepare and bake cornbread mix according to package directions, using an 8-in. square baking dish. Crumble when cool., Mix sour cream, mayonnaise and salad dressing mix until blended. In a separate bowl, combine tomatoes, peppers and 1/2 cup green onions. , In a 3-qt. glass bowl, layer half of each: cornbread, beans, tomato mixture, cheese, bacon, corn and dressing. Repeat layers. Top with remaining green onions. Refrigerate 3 hours.

1 package (8-1/2 ounces) cornbread/muffin mix
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 envelope ranch salad dressing mix
1 to 2 tablespoons adobo sauce from canned chipotle peppers
4 to 6 cups torn romaine
4 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Prepare cornbread batter according to package directions. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 15-20 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack., Coarsely crumble cornbread into a large bowl. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, salad dressing mix and adobo sauce., In a 3-qt. trifle bowl or glass bowl, layer a third of the cornbread and half of each of the following: romaine, tomatoes, pepper, onion, bacon, cheese and mayonnaise mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining cornbread and, if desired, additional chopped tomato and bacon. Refrigerate, covered, 2-4 hours before serving.

1 batch of my famous cornbread, baked and cooled
6 cups shredded romaine lettuce, about 2 romaine hearts
1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
4-6 green onions, chopped
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 large tomato, diced (or 3 roma tomatoes)
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 can corn, drained (or 1.5 cups frozen corn, thawed)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 heaping tablespoon ranch dressing mix
1-2 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • When the cornbread is cool, remove it from the pan and cut into 1- to 1.5-inch cubes.
  • Add the lettuce to a large bowl, and top with the cornbread, pinto beans, green onion, cheese, tomato, bell pepper, and corn.
  • In another bowl, add the mayonnaise, sour cream, and ranch mix. Stir to combine. Add enough milk to make a dressing that is pourable, but still on the thick side.
  • When you are ready to serve, toss the salad well and drizzle with half the dressing. Serve right away with the other half of the dressing on the side so that people can add more as they like.

2 c bisquick
6 Tbsp yellow cornmeal
1 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 c melted margarine or butter

Steps:

  • 1. Combine bisquick, cornmeal, sugar in bowl
  • 2. add eggs and milk
  • 3. Mix until well-blended but don't overmix.
  • 4. Add melted butter,mix gently and pour into greased 8x8 or 9x9 dish.
  • 5. Bake 35-40 min or until inserted knife comes out dry.

Mix together:
8 1/2 oz pkg cornbread muffin mix
(cooked according to pkg directions)
10 slices bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups ranch dressing
2 cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
2 cans whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup chopped bell pepper, green and/or red
1/2 cup chopped green onion
3 large tomatoes, chopped (about 3 cups)

Steps:

1/2 lb butter, plus more
butter, for pan
3 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more
all-purpose flour, for pan
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
6 eggs
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup butter, softened (1 1/2 sticks)
3 -4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Butter and flour a tube pan and set aside.
  • In the bowl of a mixer, cream butter and sugar together and then add sour cream.
  • Sift flour and baking soda together. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Add extracts and stir to combine.
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Cool cake in pan for about 10 minutes and then unmold and cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Almond Buttercream Frosting: With an electric mixer, cream butter in a large mixing bowl. Slowly beat in the sugar until smooth and creamy and sweetened to your liking (about 2 minutes). Add almond extract and stir to blend.
  • Frost cake when fully cooled. If you are not using the frosting immediately, store it, covered, in the refrigerator and then bring it to room temperature just prior to using. Yield: 3 cups.

1 (1 oz) envelope Ranch dressing mix
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise (or Craft Miracle Whip Light)
3 large tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
2 (16 oz) cans pinto beans, drained
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
10 slices of bacon, fried crisp & crumbled
2 (15 1/4 oz.) cans whole kernel corn, drained
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped

Steps:

  • Prepare cornbread mix according to package directions. Cook and set aside to cool. Stir together the ranch dressing mix, sour cream and mayonnaise until well blended. Set aside. Combine tomatoes and next 3 ingredients. Gently toss. Crumble half of the cornbread into a 3-qt. trifle bowl or a large salad bowl. Top with half of each: Beans, tomato mixture, cheese, bacon, corn and dressing mixture. Repeat the layers. Cover and chill for about 3 hours.
