Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 green apples
1lb 99% lean ground turkey
1 tbsp sage, minced (or thyme)
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
2 tsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Use a box grater to grate half of the apples. You can also finely dice it, but I prefer it grated. Thinly slice the remaining apple and set aside for serving on the burger.
  • Add the grated apple, turkey, sage, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to a bowl. Mix using your hands. Form into patties.
  • Brush the patties with olive oil. Cook in a medium hot skillet for 4-5 minutes per side or until cooked through. Top with the sliced apples.
