Valuable Tips for Making Arugula with Italian Plums and Parmesan Recipes

Arugula with Italian plums and Parmesan is a refreshing salad that is perfect for summer gatherings. This salad is easy to make and is loved by everyone. However, there are certain tips that you can follow to make this salad more delicious and visually appealing. Here are some valuable tips for making arugula with Italian plums and Parmesan recipes:
1. Use Fresh Ingredients
The key to making this salad is to use fresh ingredients. Pick fresh arugula leaves, Italian plums, and Parmesan cheese to ensure that the flavors of the ingredients are distinct and delicious. Fresh ingredients will also give your salad an appetizing aroma.
2. Choose Ripe Plums
When choosing plums for this salad, make sure they are ripe. Ripe plums are sweet and juicy, and they pair perfectly with the sharp, nutty flavor of Parmesan. However, if the plums are not ripe enough, they will be tart and will not go well with the other ingredients in the salad.
3. Use a Good Quality Olive Oil
Olive oil is the dressing for this salad. Using high quality olive oil is important as it will enhance the flavors of the other ingredients. Look for an extra-virgin olive oil that is fruity and has a mild pungency. This will balance the sweet and tart flavors of the salad.
4. Toast the Nuts
This salad tastes great with toasted pine nuts or walnuts. Toasting the nuts will release their natural oils and intensify their flavor. You can use a pan on the stovetop to toast the nuts or roast them in the oven for five to ten minutes. Make sure to keep an eye on the nuts to prevent burning.
5. Use a Vegetable Peeler to Shave Parmesan Cheese
One of the key ingredients of this salad is Parmesan cheese. When adding the cheese, make sure to use a vegetable peeler to shave it. Shaving the cheese will create delicate, paper-thin shreds that will melt in your mouth. The shaved cheese will also look visually appealing in the salad.
6. Add Fresh Herbs
Adding fresh herbs to this salad will take it to the next level. You can use basil, parsley, or mint to add a burst of freshness and aroma to the salad. Chop the herbs finely and sprinkle them over the salad just before serving.
7. Don’t Overdress the Salad
When dressing the salad, remember to not overdo it. A light drizzle of olive oil and a squeeze of lemon juice are enough to dress the salad. Overdressing the salad can make it soggy, and it will not taste as good.
8. Season the Salad with Salt and Pepper
Seasoning your salad with salt and pepper is important as it will bring out the flavors of the other ingredients. Use kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to season the salad. Taste the salad before serving, and add more salt and pepper as necessary.
9. Serve the Arugula with Italian Plums and Parmesan Cold
This salad tastes best when served cold. Chill the ingredients in the fridge for an hour before assembling the salad. The chilled salad will refresh your palate and will be the perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, fish or vegetables.

Conclusion

In conclusion, arugula with Italian plums and Parmesan is a delicious and refreshing salad that is perfect for summer gatherings. Follow these valuable tips to make this salad more delicious and visually appealing. Use fresh ingredients, choose ripe plums, use good quality olive oil, toast the nuts, shave Parmesan cheese, add fresh herbs, don’t overdress the salad, season with salt and pepper, and serve the salad cold. With these tips, your arugula with Italian plums and Parmesan salad will be the hit of any summer gathering.
