This dessert is perfect for anyone who loves chocolate and wants to eat healthy. Applesauce brownie cake is rich, moist, and full of flavor. It is also low in fat and calories because it uses applesauce instead of butter or oil. If you want to make the best applesauce brownie cake, keep reading for valuable tips.
Tip 1: Use Unsweetened Applesauce
When making applesauce brownie cake, it is important to use unsweetened applesauce. This will prevent the cake from becoming too sweet and will also ensure that it has a good texture. If you use sweetened applesauce, the cake may be too soft and sticky. You can easily find unsweetened applesauce in any grocery store.
Tip 2: Choose High-Quality Chocolate
The key ingredient in applesauce brownie cake is chocolate, so it is important to choose high-quality chocolate. This will ensure that your cake is rich and flavorful. Look for chocolate that has a high percentage of cocoa and is free from any additives or preservatives. You can use dark, milk, or semisweet chocolate depending on your preference.
Tip 3: Use the Right Amount of Flour
One of the most important things to keep in mind when making applesauce brownie cake is to use the right amount of flour. Too much flour can make the cake dry and crumbly, while too little flour can make it too soft and gooey. Make sure to measure your flour accurately and use the recommended amount in the recipe.
Tip 4: Add Nuts for Extra Crunch
If you want to add some extra crunch to your applesauce brownie cake, you can add some nuts. Walnuts, almonds, and pecans work well in this recipe. Simply chop them into small pieces and fold them into the batter before baking. Not only will this add some texture to your cake, but it will also make it more nutritious.
Tip 5: Don't Overmix the Batter
When making applesauce brownie cake, it is important not to overmix the batter. Overmixing can cause the cake to become tough and dense. Mix the batter until just combined, and then stop. This will ensure that your cake is light and airy.
Tip 6: Use a Nonstick Pan
Using a nonstick pan is important when making applesauce brownie cake. This will prevent the cake from sticking to the pan and will also ensure that it bakes evenly. If you don't have a nonstick pan, you can line your pan with parchment paper.
Tip 7: Let it Cool Completely Before Serving
One of the most common mistakes people make when making applesauce brownie cake is not letting it cool completely before serving. If you cut into the cake too soon, it will be too soft and gooey. Let the cake cool completely before slicing it into pieces. You can serve it with whipped cream, ice cream, or fresh fruit.
