I got this out of a coupon paper, it looks awesome. I'd like to use granny smith apples with this, and it calls for 2 apples so I picked one of each recommended. I'm also subbing the cranberries for chopped dates because it looks sweet enough!

Choose the Right Apples
The first step in making an apple salad is to choose the right type of apples. When selecting apples for your salad, it is essential to pick the ones that are firm, ripe, and juicy. Apples that are too soft, mealy, or dry can ruin the texture and taste of your salad. Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Honeycrisp, and Gala apples are some of the best options for making apple salad recipes. They are firm, crisp, and have a pleasant flavor that pairs well with other ingredients in the salad.
Keep the Apples Fresh
One common problem that many people face while making apple salads is that the apples get browned quickly. To prevent this, you can coat the sliced apples in some lemon juice. The acidic nature of lemon juice prevents the apples from getting brown and also adds some tanginess to the salad. However, if you do not want to use lemon juice, you can also add the apples just before serving the salad.
Use Fresh and Crispy Salad Greens
A salad is incomplete without green leaves. For the apple salad with creamy maple dressing recipe, you need to choose the right greens that can complement the flavor of the salad. Some of the popular greens that go well with apple salad are baby spinach, arugula, mixed greens, and romaine lettuce. Make sure the greens are fresh and crispy. Avoid using wilted or yellowed leaves as they can affect the taste of the salad.
Add Some Crunchy Elements
Adding some crunchy elements to the salad can make it more tempting and satisfying. You can add some nuts, seeds, or croutons to the salad to enhance the texture and flavor. Some of the best ingredients for adding crunch to apple salad are walnuts, almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and croutons. These crunchy elements not only add some texture to the salad but also provide some essential nutrients.
Use Creamy and Tangy Dressing
A salad dressing can make or break the taste of the salad. For apple salad with creamy maple dressing recipe, you need to choose the right dressing that can complement the flavor of the apple salad. As the name suggests, the creamy maple dressing is a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and tangy flavors that pairs well with the apple salad. Enhance the Nutrition Value
Apple salad is already a healthy meal, but you can make it even healthier by adding some nutrient-dense ingredients. You can add some superfoods like berries, avocado, kale, or edamame to the salad to enhance its nutritional value. These ingredients are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can provide various health benefits. Adding some protein-rich ingredients like chicken, tofu, or grilled shrimp can also make the salad more satisfying and healthy.
Pay Attention to Presentation
