Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 tablespoons butter
2 peaches, peeled, sliced
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
4 eggs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 peaches, peeled, sliced
Real maple syrup

Steps:

  • Heat 10- to 12-inch ovenproof skillet over medium heat; add 1 tablespoon of the butter. Add 2 sliced peaches, and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook 3 minutes; stir peaches, and cook another 2 to 3 minutes or until caramelized and soft. Remove from the heat; add 1 teaspoon of the vanilla. Toss well, then remove and slide the peaches onto a plate. Rub remaining 1 tablespoon butter in warm skillet. Let skillet cool.
  • In medium bowl, add Bisquick mix, 2/3 cup whipping cream, eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix to combine, being careful not to overmix. Fold in caramelized peaches.
  • Pour batter into buttered skillet (you can use a greased 13x9-inch pan, if you prefer). At this point, cover the skillet and place in the fridge overnight, or go on to baking step.
  • The next morning (or whenever you are ready to go on to the baking step), heat oven to 450°F.
  • Bake at 450°F for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 350°F, and continue baking 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden on top.
  • Meanwhile, beat 1 cup whipping cream with electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla, and whip until combined.
  • Cut into wedges, and serve hot with sliced peaches, a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Butter-flavored cooking spray, for coating the baking dish
3 pounds Fuji apples, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon agave syrup
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
One 16-ounce can sliced peaches, drained
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large orange, for zesting
2 packages ready-made pie dough (2 dough pieces in each package; roll out 3 dough pieces to fit a 9-by-13-inch baking dish; reserve the fourth piece for another use)
2 large egg yolks, whisked
1 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add the apples, butter, agave and salt; mix and let simmer down for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool down.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked apples, peaches, cornstarch, almond extract and cinnamon and mix well. Zest half of the orange into the mixture and mix again.
  • Place one of the rolled-out pie crusts in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Bake until very light brown, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and add about half of the fruit filling to the baking dish, filling it about halfway. Cover the fruit with the second pie crust. Bake until golden brown, another 10 minutes.
  • Add the remaining fruit mixture, filling the baking dish to the top. Cover the cobbler with the third rolled-out pie crust and pinch it to the rim of the baking dish to seal. Cut 3 slits across the top of the crust, brush on the egg yolk and sprinkle with the brown sugar. Zest the remainder of the orange over the top.
  • Bake until the fruit juices are bubbling and the crust is a dark golden brown, about 40 minutes.

Breakfast is considered to be the most important meal of the day. It kickstarts your metabolism and provides you with the energy you need to get through the day. Apple peach breakfast bake recipes are a delicious and nutritious option for breakfast, and they're easy to make too! Here are some valuable tips to keep in mind when making apple peach breakfast bake recipes.

Tip 1: Use Fresh Ingredients

When making apple peach breakfast bake recipes, it is important to use fresh ingredients. Using fresh fruits will not only enhance the flavor of your bake but it is also healthier for you. Fresh fruits contain more nutrients and are free of preservatives that might be present in canned or packaged fruits. Fresh produce may cost a bit more, but it will be worth it when you take that first bite of your tasty apple peach breakfast bake.

Tip 2: Combine Different Types of Apples

When selecting apples for your recipe, it's best to choose a variety of apples. Different types of apples have different textures and levels of sweetness. Adding a mix of apples can give your apple peach breakfast bake a rich flavor and texture. Some popular types of apples for baking are Granny Smith, Honeycrip, and Braeburn.

Tip 3: Use Ripe Peaches

The perfectly ripe peach is a beautiful thing. For your apple peach breakfast bake, always use ripe peaches for the best results. Ripe peaches are naturally sweeter, and their texture will be softer and juicier. When selecting ripe peaches, look for fruit that is firm yet slightly soft to the touch. Peaches with a strong fragrance will have the best flavor.

Tip 4: Experiment with Spices

Spices can add flavor to your apple peach breakfast bake. Using spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice or cloves can give your bake a warm and comforting flavor. Try blending different spices together to create your own unique blend. Remember to taste test your mix before you add it to your bake. Balancing the flavors will make all the difference in the final dish.

Tip 5: Consider the Sweetener

If you're concerned about the amount of sugar in your apple peach breakfast bake, there are plenty of alternative sweeteners that you can use. Honey, maple syrup, and agave nectar are all popular options. You can also reduce the amount of sugar by adding less or substituting with unsweetened applesauce. Experiment to find what works best for your taste buds.

Tip 6: Top it off with Toppings

A good topping can make a difference in any baked recipe. When it comes to apple peach breakfast bakes, there are a variety of toppings to choose from. Oats, nuts, and seeds are all great options. Using oats as a topping can give your bake a crunchy texture, while nuts like almonds, walnuts, and pecans can add a nutty flavor. Seeds such as chia, pumpkin or flaxseeds can bring in an extra boost of nutrition.

Tip 7: Consider the baking dish

When it comes to baking, the dish you use can make or break the recipe. A dish that is too small can cause the ingredients to overflow, while a dish that is too large can make the bake look meager. When using a glass or ceramic baking dish, it is best to pick one that has high sides to prevent overflow. Non-stick baking dishes can make it easier to clean your dish after you are done baking.

Conclusion

Apple peach breakfast bake recipes are a delicious and nutritious option to enhance your morning meal. Using fresh ingredients, experimenting with spices and sweeteners, adding toppings, mixing up apples, and choosing the baking dish wisely can all help you create a delicious apple peach breakfast bake that will leave your taste buds happy.
