- Combine sugar, cornstarch, and 2 teaspoons apple pie spice in a small bowl.
- Place apples in a large slow cooker. Stir in spice mixture and toss with lemon juice.
- Mix cake mix, brown sugar, and remaining apple pie spice together in a medium bowl. Stir in melted butter until thoroughly blended; mixture will be crumbly. Sprinkle over apples in the cooker.
- Cover and cook until apples are tender, on Low for 4 hours or on High for 2 hours. Partially uncover the slow cooker and continue to cook until the topping has hardened, about 1 hour more.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
- In medium bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Cut in cold butter, using fork or pastry blender, until mixture is crumbly. Stir in nuts; set aside.
- In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook 1 tablespoon butter and the apples over medium heat, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes or until apples are tender. Set aside.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 pan with shortening or spray. Set aside
- 2. In a large skillet, place 3 TBSP butter on med heat, aonce melted add apples, sugars and cinnamon. Reduce heat to low and cook for 4-5 minutes, until apples are semi soft and coated in sugar mixture. Transfer to prepared 9x13 pan and spread out evenly in pan.

- Preheat oven to 175 C and put 10 small double paper cup cake liners/forms on a baking dish. Peel and dice the apples. Melt the butter. Whip egg and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the butter, cream, flour, baking powder, vanilla powder and the apple in the bowl with the whipped sugar and egg. Put the dough evenly in the 10 cup cake forms and bake in the middle of the oven for 15 - 20 minutes. Let them cool for a while. Mix the ingredients for the almond crisp in a pan and boil it for 3 -5 minutes stirring constantly until it gets a bit thick and turns a little darker than the original colour. With 2 small spoons, add the mix generously to the top of the cakes and put them back in the oven, now on maximum heat for a few minutes, so that it melts and gets a little colour. The cakes can be served cold as they are, or slightly warm with some whipped cream or slightly melted vanilla ice cream.
