- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
- Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg in medium bowl.
- Beat granulated sugar and butter in large mixer bowl until creamy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth. Alternately beat in flour mixture and evaporated milk.
- Stir in apples and nuts.
- Spread batter into prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes.
- Cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.

- 1. Glaze: Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and stir until smooth. Set the bowl aside.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease a Bundt pan or tube pan.
- 3. In a bowl, mix together the apples, vanilla, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 4. Using a mixer beat the sugar, oil, German Chocolate Frosting and eggs in a large bowl. Add in the dry ingredients and beat until completely combined. Fold in the apple mixture.
- 5. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until a tester inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
- 6. Allow the cake to fully cool in the pan, about 1 hour, and then turn it out onto a plate
