COLD AND FLU CLEAN AIR BREW

Cold and Flu Clean Air Brew image

We frequently boil this during the cold and flu season. We use it more as a prevention than a cure, but it can help to keep germs down and lessens the possibility of making other family members sick. It also smells great so it isn't a problem to keep it brewing. I put zero cook time because it isn't a set time and is up to the person how long they want it to brew.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) sea salt or common salt
1 cup(s) boiling water
1 cup(s) apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Grind together the cayenne pepper and salt to form a paste. Add boiling water and steep and cool. Once cool, add the apple cider vinegar.
  • Most adults can take between a teaspoon to a tablespoon every half an hour. If it is too strong, dilute it. If it is too strong for your tummy, use 1 cup brewed chamomile tea instead of the boiling water.
  • This is a strong remedy! Some folks love the taste, some of course do not. Sometimes people who do not, will like it if they feel a cold/flu coming on. This recipe comes from "Herbal Medicine", Dian Dincin Buchman. To good heath, everyone!

ANTI COLD AND FLU SOUP

Anti Cold and Flu Soup image

Garlic and ginger are tonics, which means they support all of the systems that support your life, including your immune system. Try this soup when you start experiencing cold or flu symptoms. It has strong flavor, but if you're all stuffed up, you'll barely notice anyway!
