While there are numerous angel hair shrimp bake recipe variations, there are some tips that one can take into consideration to make their dish stand out.

Tip #1 - Choosing your Shrimp

One of the essential components of any shrimp-based dish is the shrimp itself. Therefore, choosing the right shrimp is critical in making an excellent angel hair shrimp bake. Fresh shrimp is the best option when it comes to preparing any shrimp dish. When buying shrimp, it's crucial to look for characteristics such as firmness, color, and texture. Avoid any shrimp that has a slimy texture or smells off, as they are most likely not fresh. Furthermore, it's advisable to go for wild-caught shrimp over farmed ones, as they tend to have a better taste.

Tip #2 - Properly Preparing Your Shrimp

Properly preparing your shrimp before baking is also critical. Start by peeling and deveining your shrimp. While peeling may be optional, ensure that you devein it to avoid any grittiness in the final dish. You can also remove the tails for an easier eating experience. After deveining, rinse your shrimp thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.

Tip #3 - Adding Flavor to Your Shrimp

Shrimp is a delicate protein that needs extra flavor to taste good. You can either marinate your shrimp beforehand, or you can season it with spices and herbs. The common herbs used in shrimp dishes are basil, thyme, and parsley. Additionally, you can also add garlic, ginger, and some lemon zest to give your shrimp a zesty taste.

Tip #4 - Choosing the Right Pasta

The pasta used in angel hair shrimp bake recipes is the angel hair pasta. When choosing the pasta, go for a reputable brand, and check the expiry date before purchasing. Ensure that you cook the pasta properly to avoid any overcooked or undercooked pieces.

Tip #5 - Cooking Your Shrimp

There are different ways to cook your shrimp before baking it, such as sautéing, grilling, or boiling. One of the best ways to cook shrimp is through sautéing. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil and add your shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about two minutes on each side, or until they turn pink. Avoid overcooking the shrimp as they tend to become tough.

Tip #6 - Choosing the Right Sauce

The sauce used in the angel hair shrimp bake recipe is critical in determining the final taste of the dish. You can either go with a creamy sauce or a tomato-based sauce. If you opt for creamy, go for heavy cream to make your sauce thicker. On the other hand, using tomatoes will give your dish more tanginess and an overall robust taste.

Tip #7 - Baking Your Shrimp

After preparing all the components of the dish, the next step is baking. Preheat your oven to about 350°F. Add the shrimp, pasta, sauce, and any other vegetables you might want, such as bell peppers, mushrooms or onions into a baking dish. Mix all the ingredients until they are fully combined. Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese melts and the top turns golden brown.
