ANGEL HAIR PASTA WITH SUN-DRIED TOMATOES & GOAT CHEESE

Angel Hair Pasta With Sun-Dried Tomatoes & Goat Cheese image

Absolutely delicious... and addictive. I've been known to eat all of mine, plus the portions set aside as leftovers. Thank God for gyms! **NOTE** Sun-dried tomato oil is the oil that comes in the jar of sun-dried tomatoes. Chicken broth can be substituted for the white wine, but in my opinion the wine works better with the other ingredients.

Angel hair pasta with goat cheese sun dried tomatoes recipes is a popular dish that has gained recognition in the food industry. The combination of delicate angel hair pasta, tangy crumbles of goat cheese, and the sweet, chewy sun-dried tomatoes is an explosion of flavors in your mouth.

Angel Hair Pasta

Angel hair pasta is a very fine and delicate pasta that is similar to capellini, but much thinner. This type of pasta cooks very quickly, usually within 2 to 3 minutes, and it is often preferred over other types of pasta because of its light and airy texture.

Goat Cheese

Goat cheese is a tangy and creamy type of cheese that is made from goat’s milk. It has a distinct flavor that is different from cow’s milk cheese, making it a popular option for people who are looking for something different. Goat cheese can be crumbled or sliced, and it is often used in salads, sandwiches, and pasta dishes.

Sun-dried Tomatoes

Sun-dried tomatoes are made by drying fresh tomatoes in the sun or in a dehydrator. This process removes most of the moisture from the tomatoes, giving them a chewy texture and a rich, sweet flavor. Because of their intense flavor, sun-dried tomatoes are often used as an ingredient in pasta dishes, pesto, and salads.

Angel hair pasta with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes is a deliciously light and refreshing pasta recipe that can be prepared in no time. This recipe is versatile and can be served as a main dish or as a side dish to any Italian meal. In this article, we will provide valuable tips to make this recipe successfully.

Tips for Cooking Angel Hair Pasta:

1. Do Not Overcook
Angel hair pasta is a very thin pasta that cooks quickly, which means it can easily overcook and become mushy. To prevent this from happening, make sure to cook the pasta al dente, which means that it should be cooked just enough to be tender but still firm to the bite.
2. Salt the Water
Adding salt to the water before boiling the pasta can add flavor to the pasta. The rule of thumb is to add one tablespoon of salt per quart of water. The salt will also help to prevent the pasta from sticking to each other.
3. Use Plenty of Water
It is important to use plenty of water when boiling angel hair pasta. This will prevent the pasta from sticking together or clumping. Use four to six quarts of water per pound of pasta.
4. Use a Large Pot
Using a large pot to cook the pasta will allow it to cook evenly and reduce the possibility of it sticking together or clumping. A 6-quart pot should be sufficient for one pound of pasta.
5. Reserve Some Pasta Water
Before draining the cooked pasta, reserve a cup or so of the cooking water. This water is starchy and can be used to thicken sauces or loosen them up if they become too thick.

Tips for Making Angel Hair Pasta with Goat Cheese and Sun-dried Tomatoes

1. Choose the Right Ingredients
To make the best angel hair pasta with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, it is important to choose the right ingredients. Use the freshest sun-dried tomatoes and good quality goat cheese. A fresh bunch of basil will also enhance the flavor of the dish.
2. Use High-Quality Olive Oil
When it comes to Italian cooking, using high-quality olive oil is a must. The olive oil should be extra-virgin and cold-pressed to ensure maximum flavor.
3. Sauté the Garlic Gently
Sautéing the garlic in olive oil is an important step in the recipe. To ensure that the garlic doesn't burn, it should be sautéed gently over low heat until fragrant. This will enhance the flavor of the dish.
4. Toast the Pine Nuts
Toasting the pine nuts will add a nutty flavor to the dish. To toast them, place them in a dry skillet over medium heat and stir occasionally until they are golden brown.
5. Use Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
Using freshly grated Parmesan cheese will give the dish an authentic Italian flavor. Avoid using pre-grated cheese as it may contain anti-caking agents that can affect the flavor.

Conclusion

Angel hair pasta with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes is a delicious and easy recipe that you can prepare in no time. These valuable tips will ensure that your pasta turns out perfectly every time. Remember to cook the pasta al dente and choose the freshest and highest quality ingredients for maximum flavor.
