The Ingredients for Amish Chocolate Eclair Pudding

Like many Amish dishes, chocolate eclair pudding incorporates simple, wholesome ingredients. Here are some of the key ingredients typically used in this recipe:
Graham Crackers

Chocolate Ganache
The chocolate ganache is made from a combination of chocolate chips, heavy cream, and butter. The mixture is heated on the stove until the chocolate chips are melted and the ganache is smooth and shiny.
Whipped Cream
Whipped cream is often used to top off the chocolate eclair pudding. It adds a light and airy texture that complements the richness of the chocolate and custard.

The Preparation of Amish Chocolate Eclair Pudding

Making Amish chocolate eclair pudding may seem intimidating, but the steps are actually quite simple.

Once the custard filling is ready, pour half of it over the layer of graham crackers. Spread it out evenly to cover the crackers completely.
Step 4: Add Another Layer of Graham Crackers
Add another layer of graham crackers on top of the custard filling, laying them out in a single layer.
Step 5: Add the Remaining Custard Filling
Pour the remaining custard filling over the layer of graham crackers, spreading it out evenly.
Step 6: Prepare the Chocolate Ganache
To prepare the chocolate ganache, combine the chocolate chips, heavy cream, and butter in a pot. Heat the mixture on the stove over low heat, stirring constantly. Cook the mixture until the chocolate chips are melted and the ganache is smooth and shiny.
Step 7: Layer the Ganache
Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the custard filling, spreading it out evenly to cover the top completely.
Step 8: Chill and Serve
Chill the chocolate eclair pudding in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until it is set. Once it is chilled, remove it from the fridge and top it off with whipped cream before serving.
