Steps:
- 1. Place the chocolate chips in a medium bowl. Heat the milk on the stove or microwave until just boiling. 45 seconds - 1 minute in the microwave works for me. Keep an eye on it. 2. Pour the hot milk over the chocolate and stir slowly until all the chocolate is melted and you have a smooth even mixture. 3. In small sauce pan, combine the cream, butter and sugar. Bring it to a boil while whisking so it doesn't burn. 4. Add the ganache into the sauce pan and stir on low heat until smooth. 5. Transfer the sauce to your storage or serving container.

AMAZING CHOCOLATE DESSERT SAUCE
This is from 'Donna Hay Simple Essentials - Chocolate' book and it is so wonderful. Easy, delicious and incredibly versatile. She calls it hot chocolate fudge sauce but I also use it to ice cupcakes when it is cold. Try it hot on vanilla ice cream or chocolate cake, or spread thickly on plain bickies [cookies] when it is cold. Anyone can make this in seconds!

AMAZING CHOCOLATE SAUCE
This chocolate sauce has that WONDERFUL cooked chocolate taste (you all know what I'm talking about--really deep and almost on verge of burnt). It's great on ice cream, in milk, or drizzled on just about anything. I bet even old socks would taste good with this stuff poured over it.

Steps:
- 1. In heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and cocoa. Stir.
- 2. Remove from heat and add sugar, milk (make sure it's EVAPORATED milk...NOT sweetened condensed milk), vanilla and salt. Stir well.
- 3. Return to heat and cook until desired thickness (less for thin syrup...longer for thick syrup). Time will depend on your stove and your preference. Make sure you stir it pretty much constantly...don't want it to burn on the bottom.
- 4. Store in airtight container in fridge for up to a couple of weeks.
