HAWAIIAN PORK CHOPS
Quick and Easy Hawaiian Pork Chops. Pan fried pork chops simmered in a sweet and tangy Hawaiian sauce. Ready in under 25 minutes!

Steps:
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet.
- Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper. Add pork to the hot skillet and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until each side is nice and browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In a large measuring cup combine soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and only the pineapple juice (reserve the slices for later). Set aside.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the large skillet. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
- Pour in the sauce ingredients and bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the pork back to the sauce.
- In a small bowl mix together cornstarch and water.
- Slowly add the cornstarch mixture to the skillet and stir.
- Add in the reserved pineapple slices and simmer for 10 minutes or until sauce is thickened and pork reaches 145 degrees. The thin pork do not take very long.
- Serve immediately with chopped parsley for garnish, if desired.

- Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook pork chops until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm. , In the same skillet, saute green pepper and onion in remaining 1 teaspoon oil until almost tender, about 2 minutes. Stir in broth, pineapple, ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil. Return pork to the pan. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 5-7 minutes. Remove and keep warm., Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into skillet. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 1-2 minutes. Serve with pork and, if desired, rice.

- ADD peppers, pineapple with its juice, broth, dressing and garlic powder; mix well. Bring to boil.
- STIR in rice; cover. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minute or until chops are cooked through (160°F.) Remove from heat; let stand 5 minute.
PORK CHOPS AND RICE
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add the rice and saute until it is light brown, about 5 minutes.
- Spread the rice in a 9- by 13- by 2-inch casserole. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and arrange them on top of the rice. Pour the broth and 2/3 cup water over the chops. Spread the onion rings over the chops and sprinkle them with the pepper. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake until the pork chops are tender, about 45 minutes.
- Change the oven to broil, add a bit more broth if the rice is dry and return the dish to the oven for a couple of minutes until the pork is browned.

- 1. Sprinkle pork chops with lemon-pepper. In a large skillet, brown chops on both sides in 1 t. oil over medium-high heat; remove and set aside.
