Shape dough into a 1-inch-thick disk, tightly wrap in plastic, and refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place coconut in a shallow dish. Scoop 2 tablespoons (about 1 ounce) dough and form into a ball; roll in coconut to coat. Repeat with remaining dough. Place balls on parchment-lined baking sheets, 1 inch apart; press each lightly to flatten. Bake until cookies are cracked but still slightly soft, 16 to 18 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days.

Almond chocolate chews are a perfect treat for anyone who loves chocolate and almonds. These delicious sweets make perfect snacks or desserts and are easy to make at home. In this article, we will discuss some valuable tips that can help you make perfect almond chocolate chews. We will also share some video recipes that you can follow to make these tasty treats. 1. Choose High-Quality Ingredients: The first tip to make perfect almond chocolate chews is to choose high-quality ingredients. Always choose good quality chocolate and almonds to get the best taste. Use high-quality chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars, and select almonds that are fresh, whole, and raw. By choosing high-quality ingredients, you can ensure that your almond chocolate chews will have a rich, chocolatey flavor and a slight crunch of almond. 2. Toast the Almonds: Toasting almonds before adding them to the recipe can give them a unique nutty flavor and crunch. Simply lightly toast raw whole almonds in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, tossing occasionally until they start to turn golden brown. Then, chop into small pieces or slices, and add them to your recipe. Toasted almonds will enhance the flavor of your almond chocolate chews and give them a pleasant crunch. 3. Use Semi-Sweet Chocolate: When making almond chocolate chews, it is better to use semi-sweet chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Semi-sweet chocolate has less sugar, which makes the taste more balanced between the chocolate and the almonds. Additionally, semi-sweet chocolate has a deeper, richer flavor that will complement the almonds' nuttiness. Using high-quality semi-sweet chocolate will ensure that your almond chocolate chews have a rich, smooth, and delicious taste. 4. Melt the Chocolate Correctly: Melting chocolate correctly is essential to making perfect almond chocolate chews. The easiest way to melt chocolate is to use a double boiler. Simply fill a large pan with water and bring it to a boil. Put a heatproof bowl on top of the pan with water and add the chocolate chips to the bowl. Gently stir the chocolate chips until they melt completely. If you don’t have a double boiler, you can also melt the chocolate in a microwave. Microwave the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until the chocolate is melted. Be sure to stir every 30 seconds to avoid burning the chocolate. 5. Mix the Chocolate and Almonds Carefully: Mixing the chocolate and almonds correctly is critical for making perfect almond chocolate chews. Once the chocolate is melted, remove it from the heat and add the chopped almonds. Mix the chocolate and almonds carefully, making sure that all the almonds are coated with chocolate. Be gentle when mixing to avoid breaking the almonds too much. Once the almonds are mixed with the chocolate, pour the mixture into a greased baking dish, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour until the chocolate hardens. 6. Cut the Almond Chocolate Chews Properly: After the chocolate has hardened, remove the baking dish from the fridge and cut the almond chocolate chews into bite-size pieces using a sharp knife. Be sure to cut the pieces carefully to avoid breaking or crushing them. If the chocolate is too hard to cut, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes until it softens slightly. Conclusion: Almond chocolate chews are a perfect sweet treat that is easy to make at home. By following the above tips, you can make perfect almond chocolate chews with a rich, chocolatey flavor and a delightful crunch of almonds. Remember to use high-quality ingredients, toast the almonds, use semi-sweet chocolate, melt the chocolate correctly, mix the chocolate and almonds carefully, and cut the almond chocolate chews properly. With these tips in mind, you can make delicious almond chocolate chews that will impress your family and friends.
