AIR FRYER CHICKEN FAJITAS

Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas image

Chicken fajitas in the air fryer doesn't get any easier than this. The chicken stays nice and moist while the vegetables have a nice crisp to them. Add 2 minutes of cook time if you prefer softer veggies. I like to toast my tortillas in the air fryer as well but it is not necessary. Serve with toppings of your choice such as salsa, sliced avocado, and cheese.

1. Choose the Right Marinade
There are many different marinades that work well for chicken fajitas, but some of the most popular options include lime juice, garlic, cumin, paprika, and chili powder. You can either use store-bought marinades or make your own at home using fresh ingredients.
2. Let the Chicken Marinate for at Least an Hour
To ensure that your chicken is fully flavored and tenderized, it’s important to let it marinate for at least an hour before cooking. If possible, consider letting your chicken marinate overnight for even better results.
3. Use a Large Ziplock Bag to Marinate Your Chicken
To make the most of your marinade and ensure that your chicken is fully coated, use a large ziplock bag to marinate your chicken. Simply add your chicken and marinade to the bag, seal it, and shake it gently to coat the chicken evenly.

Another important component of air fryer chicken fajitas is the vegetables. From bell peppers to onions, the right vegetables can add plenty of color, texture, and flavor to your fajitas.
1. Cut Your Vegetables Evenly
When preparing your vegetables, it’s important to cut them evenly to ensure that they cook at the same rate. Consider using a mandoline or vegetable slicer to make sure your vegetables are uniform in size.
2. Toss Your Vegetables in Oil and Seasoning
To make sure that your vegetables are flavorful and delicious, toss them in oil and seasoning before cooking. Consider using a mixture of olive oil, salt, chili powder, and paprika for best results.
3. Consider the Cooking Time for Your Vegetables
Different types of vegetables cook at different rates in an air fryer, so it’s important to consider the cooking time when preparing your fajitas. For example, bell peppers and onions cook quickly, while sweet potatoes and carrots will take longer to cook through.
