ADDICTIVE CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

The comment I hear from everyone the first time they eat this is, "This is the best pizza I've ever had!" My daughters have old high school friends who still ask for this. It's very filling, so one pan goes a ways.

Time 50m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 lb lean hamburger
1/2 lb Italian sausage (I use hot.)
1 chopped green pepper
1 medium chopped onion
1 clove chopped garlic
barilla marinara sauce or your favorite pasta sauce
3 -4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
sliced Velveeta cheese, 1/4 inch thick
1 your favorite recipe for pizza dough, enough to cover a jelly roll pan.

Steps:

  • Brown the burger, sausage, green pepper, onion, and garlic until the meat is fully cooked.
  • While this is cooking, spread/pat/roll your crust unto a greased jelly roll pan, pushing the dough up the sides to make an edge.
  • Prebake the crust in a 400 oven for 7-10 minutes or until it just begins to color.
  • Top the hot crust with the desired amount of pasta sauce.
  • (I don't like too much sauce on my pizza) Add the meat mixture, spreading evenly.
  • Top with the sliced Velveeta cheese, leaving about 1/2 inch between slices.
  • Add the mozzarella cheese in an even layer.
  • Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes, or until the top layer of cheese begins to brown.

CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

Cheeseburger Pizza image

As in a classic diner cheeseburger, mustard tops the ground beef in this pizza, which bubbles with melted American cheese, fresh red onion and dill pickles. Serve it with shredded lettuce on the side to complete the burger experience and make this a "one-crust" meal that comes to the table in an hour flat.

Time 45m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 11

12 ounces ground beef
1 tablespoon yellow mustard, plus more for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
All-purpose flour, for dusting
1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons sesame seeds
2 cups shredded American cheese (about 8 ounces)1/4 whole dill pickle, sliced into thin rounds
1/4 small red onion, finely diced, then rinsed and drained
Ketchup, for serving
Shredded lettuce, for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Place a baking stone or inverted large baking sheet on the lowest rack of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  • Cook the beef in a medium skillet over medium heat just until no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the beef to paper towels to drain and let cool 5 minutes. Put the cooled beef in a bowl, stir in the mustard to coat and sprinkle with some salt and pepper.
  • Dust a sheet of parchment paper set on a pizza peel or inverted baking sheet with some flour. Stretch the pizza dough into a round (12 inches for thick or 14 inches for thinner) on the parchment and brush the edge of the round with the oil, then sprinkle it with the sesame seeds. Sprinkle 1 1/2 cups cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with the beef, then sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheese over the beef.
  • Slide the pizza off the parchment onto the hot stone or baking sheet and bake until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling, about 15 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board, arrange the pickle slices evenly over the pizza then sprinkle with the onions. Drizzle mustard and ketchup over the pizza and serve while hot with shredded lettuce on the side.

CHEESEBURGER PIZZA

Another recipe from the morning news. I think this one belongs to the lady who stars in the show since there is no other credit for it. My kids LOVED this and next to me, they are the pickiest eaters ever. I used the Boboli thin style crust and colby cheese (our preference). ** As stated in reviews, this makes quite a bit for 1 crust. It would be best to use 2 crusts or half the recipe.

Valuable Tips for Making Addictive Cheeseburger Pizza Recipes

Cheeseburger pizza combines the best of both worlds, pizza and cheeseburgers, to create the ultimate comfort food. And when made right, it can be downright addictive. If you’re looking to take your cheeseburger pizza recipe to the next level, here are some valuable tips to make it even more irresistible.
Choose High-Quality Ingredients
To create a truly superior cheeseburger pizza, you need to focus on high-quality ingredients. The beef should be freshly ground and preferably a blend of different cuts. The cheese should be a high-quality cheddar or a blend of cheeses that melts well. The sauce should be a good-quality tomato sauce, seasoned just right.
Get the Pizza Crust Right
The crust is the foundation of any great pizza, and this is especially true for cheeseburger pizzas. You want a crust that is chewy, crispy, and can hold up to all the delicious toppings. Aim for a crust that is not too thick or too thin. A good rule of thumb is that the crust should be about ¼-inch thick.
Season the Ground Beef
To give your cheeseburger pizza that signature flavor, you need to season the ground beef. Start with a good-quality meat, and then add some salt, pepper, and your choice of other seasonings. For a classic cheeseburger taste, Worcestershire sauce is a great addition.
Use Fresh Produce
Fresh produce is essential when making a cheeseburger pizza. You want the flavors to pop, and using fresh veggies is the best way to achieve this. Opt for sliced tomatoes, diced onions, and pickles to give your pizza that authentic cheeseburger taste.
Don’t Forget the Condiments
Condiments are a key component of any good cheeseburger pizza. Ketchup, mustard, and mayo are all great options. You can also experiment with different sauces, like barbecue or hot sauce, to give your pizza a unique twist.
Bake at the Right Temperature
The key to a crispy, chewy crust is to bake your pizza at the right temperature. Aim for a temperature of 450-500 degrees Fahrenheit. This high heat will allow the crust to cook quickly, while still keeping the toppings tender and juicy.
Experiment with Toppings
While the classic cheeseburger pizza toppings are ground beef, cheese, tomatoes, onions, and pickles, don’t be afraid to experiment with other toppings. Bacon, mushrooms, and jalapeños are all great options that can add a new dimension to your pizza.
Finish with Fresh Herbs
To give your cheeseburger pizza a final touch of flavor, add some fresh herbs like parsley or basil. Not only do they add color and brightness to your pizza, but they also balance out the rich, savory flavors.
Serve with the Perfect Beverage
The perfect beverage can elevate your cheeseburger pizza eating experience. A classic cola or a cold beer are both great options. For something a little different, try a fruity cocktail or a glass of red wine.

Conclusion

By following these valuable tips, you can create an addictive cheeseburger pizza that will have everyone begging for seconds. The key to success is to focus on high-quality ingredients, get the crust just right, season your ground beef, and experiment with toppings. With the right technique and attention to detail, you’ll have a cheeseburger pizza recipe that will become a household favorite.
