22 SECOND SALAD
I got this recipe from a good friend who brought it to a cookout. We all asked for the recipe so I thought I'd post it here on Zaar. It really does go together quickly, hence the name!! Please make sure you use the SHELLED sunflower seed kernels.

Steps:
- Combine dressing ingredients in a jar and shake well to dissolve sugar. May be made ahead of time.
- Put slaw mix, peas, and sunflower kernels in a serving bowl.
- Add dressing to coat well and toss until everything is combined.
- * If the dressing is made ahead of time, it really does only take about 22 seconds to prepare this! :).
20 SECOND SALAD
A crisp 'no-mayo' coleslaw that is great for potlucks. I have used honey-roasted peanuts and have used sunflower seeds. The honey-roasted peanuts taste great in it. For big crowds I do a double batch.

Steps:
- Whisk vegetable oil, sugar, vinegar, grated onion, dry mustard, and salt in a bowl, stirring until sugar has dissolved.
- Toss coleslaw mix, peas, peanuts, and poppy seeds together in a large salad bowl until thoroughly combined; pour dressing over coleslaw and stir to coat. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

- 1. Combine all ingredients in large bowl; cover and chill. Make Poppy Seed Dressing ahead of time to allow flavors to blend. At serviing time, drizzle with salad dressing; toss to mix.
- 2. POPPY SEED DRESSING: 1 C. CANOLA OIL 1/2 C. CIDER VINEGAR 1/2 C. SUGAR 2 T.POPPY SEEED 2 t. DRY MUSTARD 1 t. SALT 1 t. ONION POWDER MIX INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN A COVERED CONTAINER AND SHAKE TO DISSOLVE SUGAR. REGRIGERATE UNTIL READY TO SERVE.
