ZESTY BAKED MASHED POTATOES

A new twist on Mashed Potatoes. Goes great with Italian Dishes

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 large baker potatoes, peeled, cubed, cooked and drained
1/2 c sour cream
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c butter, softened
1/2 c milk
1 Tbsp garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Place hot potatoes in a large mixing bowl. Beat potatoes with electric mixer until smooth. Add all ingredients and continue beating until thoroughly mixed. Pour into greased 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. Top with shredded cheese. Bake 5 more minutes.

These are my absolute favorite mashed potatoes! I usually use red potatoes, but I don't know the exact amount. I kind of eyeball it. I like it better with the baking potatoes, but my boyfriend prefers the red ones.

8 large baking potatoes, peeled, cubed, cooked, and drained
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup butter
8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup milk
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Place hot potatoes into a large bowl. Start mixing the potatoes at medium speed until they are smooth. Add sour cream, cream cheese, butter, milk, garlic, salt, and pepper and continue beating until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pour into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 30 min at 400ºF.

5 potatoes baked or boiled
3 tablespoons ghee
1 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper
2 green chilies minced
3 tablespoons water or soy milk

Steps:

  • Mash the potatoes sans their skins. Add all the ingredients. Use warmed water or soy milk. Whisk till creamy with a fork. Serve immediately or keep warm in a double broiler. Garnish with parsley sprigs, if desired.
