YUMMY SEASONED MINUTE RICE
tired of the same ol' plain ol' white rice? well here's an quick combo of herbs to jazz up that boring oldie that rivals any Rice-A-Roni box. i serve this on the side of my Hawaiian style chicken kabobs and its fantastic!

Steps:
- Add all seasonings except butter and half of the sesame seeds to a microwave safe measuring cup.
- Add water and heat in microwave for 2 minutes to dissolve bouillon.
- Transfer to a small pot with lid and bring to a boil.
- Add rice, stir, cover and remove from heat.
- Let steam for 5 minutes and then add butter, fluff and recover until ready to serve.
- Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds when serving.

- In a saucepan bring 3 cups water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until rice is cooked and all liquid is absorbed.
- Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in remaining 2/3 cup water, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, basil and salt; heat for 5 minutes. Stir in cooked rice and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.

- Combine instant brown rice, parsley, and black pepper in a microwave-safe dish.
- Place butter and lemon juice in a measuring cup.
- Pour chicken broth into measuring cup with butter and lemon juice to measure a total of 1 cup.
- Stir chicken broth mixture into rice mixture until all ingredients are moistened. Cover with microwave-safe lid.
- Heat in the microwave oven until rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid, about 7 minutes.
- Remove and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork before serving.

- Heat olive oil in a non-stick saucepan over medium-high heat nearly to smoking. Cook and stir rice in the hot oil quickly to toast the rice, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir the onion into the rice; cook and stir 1 minute more. Pour chicken broth over the rice mixture, season with garlic salt, and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low, place a cover on the saucepan, and cook until the broth is absorbed and the rice is tender, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to rest 5 minutes before lifting the lid.
