Alfredo Sauce is the most creamy and delicious homemade alfredo sauce that you will ever make! This is a tried and true recipe and you will agree that it is the best recipe out there!

½ cup butter
1 pint heavy whipping cream (or 2 cups)
4 ounces cream cheese
½ teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan add butter, heavy whipping cream, and cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted.
  • Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add the grated parmesan cheese.
  • Bring to a simmer and continue to cook for about 3-5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Toss it with your favorite pasta!

This recipe is for people who like thier alfredo sauce really thick and heavy. The walnuts can be ommitted if desired. Number Of Ingredients 15

1/2 cup butter
1/2 of a medium sized onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/2 cup flour
2 cups half-and-half cream
2 ounces cream cheese (sliced into squares)
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 tablespoon basil
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup walnuts
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
garlic salt (to taste)
steamed asparagus (chopped)

Steps:

  • In a food processor mix the basil, grated cheese, walnuts, crushed red pepper, salt, pepper, and garlic salt.
  • Set aside for later in the recipe.
  • In a large sauce pan melt one stick of butter on meduim low heat.
  • Once the butter has melted entirely add the chopped onion and the minced garlic. Cook until the onion becomes translucent (maybe 5 minutes).
  • Now turn the heat to low and slowly sift in the flour. Constantly stirring until its all mixed smoothly.
  • Now slowly add in the half and half. Again stirring constantly. Mix until its all well blended and smooth.
  • At this point turn the heat back up to medium and add the sour cream and cream cheese.
  • Cook until most of the cream cheese dissolves into the sauce. At this point add the mixed ingredients in the food processor to the sauce and stir everything together until the sauce becomes totally smooth and creamy,.
  • Put sauce on top of your favorite pasta and add the chopped asparagus.

I made this after having an obsession with the Olive Garden's sauce. And all I can say is this is truly better then there. My Family and everyone I have made it for is amazing. I am constantly handing this out. Serve with Chicken or seafood, pasta and veggies and garlic bread...you will not be disappointed!

2 tablespoons garlic
1 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Pour cream into a sauce pan.
  • add butter, garlic, Parmesan cheese and pepper.
  • Bring to a slight boil for 1 minute. Turn on minimum and simmer for 1/2 hour, stirring occasionally to let the flavors mix. Enjoy!
