Our Version of Winger's Wings with Freakin' Amazing Sauce image

Our Wingers Wings with Freakin' Amazing Sauce tastes exactly like the restaurant version, but super easy to make at home. Sweet, spicy, completely addicting!

1 cup flour ((I like to use Wondra flour but regular flour is great too))
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
pinch salt
20 chicken wings
oil for deep frying
1/3 cup Franks Hot Sauce ((It has to be Franks Hot Sauce, no other sauce will taste as good))
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tablespoon water

Steps:

  • Mix the flour, cayenne and salt together in a bowl.
  • Place chicken wings in a large bowl and toss with flour mixture until they are evenly coated (or you can do it the Shake n' Bake way and put it all in a large and coat 5 or so wings at a time so they get evenly covered).
  • Cover bowl and refrigerate for about an hour.
  • Make Wingers Freakin Amazing Sauce (below)
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees.
  • Fry coated wings in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until parts of wings begin to turn brown.
  • Remove from heat, place wings in serving bowl, add sauce mixture and stir together.
  • Heat up hot sauce, brown sugar, and water in a saucepan until all the sugar dissolves.
  • Remove sauce from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature before adding to wings OR prepare ahead of time and refrigerate.
  • The wings turn out best if you don't pour warm sauce over them. You want it nice and thick.

1 recipe pizza dough
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
6 tablespoons buffalo wing sauce (We like Frank's, but make sure it's the buffalo style)
4 tablespoons water
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 tablespoons ranch dressing
1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
2 cups cheese

Steps:

  • Make Winger's sauce by combining buffalo sauce, water, and brown sugar in medium saucepan over medium heat. Heat to a simmer and cook for a few minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside. Get your dough ready in the way you want (thickness, shape) and preheat oven according to directions for dough. Spread ranch dressing over dough. Mix shredded chicken with 3 tablespoons of the Winger's sauce. Spread over ranch dressing. Sprinkle cheese over chicken and then spread onions on top. Cook according to crust directions, until the cheese is melted and crust is cooked through.

2 lbs boneless chicken
1 pizza crust (pre-baked or homemade)
1/2 cup hot sauce
12 ounces Mexican blend cheese, shredded
1 cup blue cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 cup diced carrots (optional) or 1/2 cup celery (optional)

Steps:

  • take prebake pizza crust and spread with blue cheese and hot sauce combined over all like it was pizza sauce. Any extra can be used on the side for dipping.
  • In a large skillet cook cut up chicken with all the spices and butter over medium heat until cooked thru.( can cook carrot and celery at this time and put on pizza if desired). I cut mine up small or shred up more once cooked). chicken goes on next. Sprinkle now with shredded cheese.
  • bake 18-20 minutes till golden and cheese melted.

This is a flavorful, unique way to use up your leftover chicken, or use freshly cooked. The creamy garlic sauce is edible alone, and added to this pizza, it's amazing!

SAUCE
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 Tbsp all purpose flour
3/4 c half and half
1/3 c freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/4 c parsley
TOPPINGS
2 medium chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
1 c (or more) mozzarella cheese, shredded
4 dash(es) parsley and basil, the fresher the better (use more or less to your taste)

Steps:

  • 1. This crust is the same as my Deep Dish Pizza Pie recipe for dough, just spread the dough out onto a flat pizza pan instead of a deep dish pan. Dough recipe here: https://www.justapinch.com/recipe/martharaydeen/deep-dish-pizza-pie-mrd-style/pork HOWEVER: Feel free to use prepared pizza dough to save time and make this in about 30 minutes.
  • 2. FOR SAUCE: In large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Saute garlic in the butter for 1 minute (until garlic is tender). Stir in flour, blending until smooth. Gradually add the half and half, stirring constantly. Stir in cheese and parsley. Heat until sauce is thickened and smooth.
  • 3. TO PREPARE: Put sauce on the pizza dough and evenly put the rest of the ingredients on top: 1. light layer of cheese 2. chicken and veggies 3. layer of as much cheese as you like 4. sprinkle on the paprika and basil Cook at 425 degrees for about 12-15 minutes.

2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 (2 ounce) bottle hot sauce
1 (8 ounce) bottle blue cheese salad dressing
1 (16 inch) prepared pizza crust
1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl combine the cubed chicken, melted butter and hot sauce. Mix well. Spread whole bottle of salad dressing over crust, then top with chicken mixture and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
