Super easy and super delicious dip that is perfect for any party. I often add sliced black olives and jarred jalapenos to the cheese for added flavor. Recipe comes from "Velveeta -- Crowd Pleasing Recipes".

1 lb Velveeta cheese, pasteurized prepared cheese product cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 (10 ounce) can ro*tel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained

Steps:

  • MIX VELVEETA and tomatoes in microwaveable bowl.
  • MICROWAVE on HIGH 5 minute or until VELVEETA is completely melted, stirring after 3 minute.
  • SERVE with assorted cut-up vegetables, WHEAT THINS Snack Crackers or tortilla chips.

If you're looking for a really hearty queso without Velveeta®, this is it!! This is a definite family favorite!

1 pound mild pork sausage
1 ½ (8 ounce) packages shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as RO*TEL®), drained
1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar Jack cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 (4 ounce) can Peppers, hot chili, green, canned, pods, excluding seeds, solids and liquids
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon ground red pepper

Steps:

  • Cook sausage in a large pot over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5 minutes. Drain off grease and return sausage to the pot. Add Cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, Cheddar Jack cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, green chiles, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and red pepper.
  • Cook over low heat, stirring often, until queso is well combined and has the right consistency, 5 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately or keep warm in a slow cooker on Low setting for an all-day snack.

1 loaf round bread (about 1 lb.)
1 lb. (16 oz.) VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 can (10 oz.) diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained

Steps:

  • Cut slice from top of bread loaf; remove center, leaving 1-inch-thick shell. Cut removed bread into bite-sized pieces.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in medium microwaveable bowl.
  • Microwave on HIGH 5 min. or until VELVEETA is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after 3 min.
  • Spoon dip into bread loaf just before serving. Serve with bread pieces.

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon each garlic powder, onion powder and ground cumin

1 1/2 cups prepared pico de gallo, drained
Tortilla chips

Steps:

  • Instructions Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour until light brown. Gradually whisk in the milk, garlic powder, onion powder and cumin. Bring to a boil; cook and whisk for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat to low; gradually whisk in havarti until melted. Remove from the heat. Stir in pico de gallo. Serve with tortilla chips.
