This strawberry margarita recipe is frosty, fruity and refreshing! A spin on the classic cocktail, it's easy to make with frozen berries.

3 ounces (6 tablespoons) tequila*
3 ounces (6 tablespoons) Cointreau
2 ounces (4 tablespoons) fresh lime juice
10 ounces (1 1/2 cups) frozen whole strawberries (fresh work too!)
1 tablespoon simple syrup, agave syrup, or maple syrup
1 cup ice

Steps:

  • Cut a notch in a lime wedge, then run the lime around the rim of two glasses. Dip the edge of each rim into a plate of salt (or for a festive look, use our Margarita Salt).
  • Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until fully combined: you can blend until it's an icy texture, or keep blending for a minute or so until it's more liquid. Taste and add additional sweetener if desired. Pour into the glasses and serve.

8 ounces Blanco tequila
3 ounces Cointreau
4 ounces lime juice
4 ounces simple syrup
2 cups frozen strawberry slices
1 cup ice
Coarse salt, for rimming, optional
Sliced strawberries, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients in a blender: Into a blender add, tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, simple syrup, frozen strawberries, and ice. Process until smooth for about 30 seconds. For a more slushy-type cocktail, use between 1/4 to 1/3 cup of ice.
  • Rim glasses with salt: Pour salt onto a plate slightly larger than your glasses. Take a lime slice and rub it around the rim of the glasses and lightly press or roll the glasses at an angle to coat with salt.
  • Serve cocktails: Pour the frozen cocktail equally between the glasses, garnish with a strawberry slice, and enjoy!

For the margarita:
2 cups frozen strawberries
1/2 cup (4 ounces) silver tequila
2-3 tablespoons (1-1.5 ounces) agave or simple syrup, depending on how sweet you like it
1/4 cup (2 ounces) freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 3 limes)
Optional: a few ice cubes (if the mixture looks too thin)
For serving:
Fresh lime for rimming the glass & garnishing
Sugar or salt for rimming the glass
Optional: Fresh strawberries for garnishing

Steps:

  • Start by preparing your glasses: Add salt or sugar to a small plate. Use a lime wedge to wet the rim of the glass, then dip the rim of the glass in the salt or sugar, rolling from side to side until well coated.
  • Add frozen strawberries, tequila, agave (or simple syrup) and lime juice to a high powered blender and blend on high until smooth. If the mixture is looking thin, add a few ice cubes. You may need to use your blender tamper to get everything moving!

¼ cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 ½ fluid ounces tequila
1 fluid ounce lime juice
½ fluid ounce triple sec
1 teaspoon white sugar, or to taste
1 cup ice cubes
1 wedge lime
1 teaspoon white sugar

Steps:

  • Blend strawberries, tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and 1 teaspoon sugar in blender to combine, about 10 seconds. Add ice cubes; blend on high until the ice is crushed, about 15 seconds.
  • Rub lime wedge around the rim of a glass. Spread 1 teaspoon sugar onto a plate. Dip glass rim in sugar to coat. Pour margarita into the glass.
