8 slices egg bread
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
10 ounces thinly sliced cooked turkey
6 ounces smoked Gouda cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
3 large eggs
1/3 cup 2% milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 teaspoons butter
3 teaspoons canola oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Spread 4 slices of bread with mustard. Layer with turkey and cheese. Spread remaining bread with cranberry sauce; place on cheese., In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 1-1/2 teaspoons each butter and oil over medium heat until butter is melted. Dip 2 sandwiches in egg mixture; add to skillet. Cook until golden brown, 2-3 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining butter, oil and sandwiches., Transfer sandwiches to a baking sheet. Bake until cheese is melted, 4-5 minutes.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Eight 1/2 inch thick slices challah bread or brioche
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
6 ounces smoked Gouda cheese, shredded
12 ounces thinly sliced cooked turkey breast
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce or relish
3 large eggs
1/3 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • To make the sandwiches: Lay the bread out on the work surface. Spread one side of each slice with the mustard. Spread half of the cheese on 4 slices of the bread. Cover with half of the turkey and season with salt and pepper to taste. Evenly spread the cranberry on the turkey on the sandwich. Top with the remaining turkey; season with salt and pepper to taste, and cover with the remaining cheese and bread. Press down slightly on each sandwich. In a lipped plate or dish, whisk together the eggs and milk, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Heat 2 large skillets over medium-low heat, add a tablespoon of both butter and oil to each pan. Dip and coat each of the sandwiches in the egg mixture and lay in the pans. Cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer the sandwiches to a baking sheet and bake until the cheese is melted, about 6 to 8 minutes.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened, for brushing
6 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/4 cups whole milk
Coarse salt and freshly ground white pepper
1/2 cup cranberry sauce, coarsely chopped if chunky
8 3/4-inch-thick slices white bread, such as Pullman
12 ounces thinly sliced roast turkey
4 ounces extra-sharp cheddar, grated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a nonstick baking mat; brush with butter. In a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, whisk together eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread cranberry sauce on 4 slices of bread. Top with turkey; season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle cheese evenly over turkey. Top with remaining bread slices. Carefully transfer sandwiches to egg mixture and soak, pressing lightly with a spatula, 1 minute a side.
  • Transfer to baking sheet; bake 15 minutes. Flip and bake 7 minutes more. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

8 slices bacon
Eight 1/2-inch-thick slices challah bread or brioche
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
6 ounces smoked Gouda or Cheddar, shredded
12 ounces thinly sliced leftover turkey breast
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/2 cup leftover cranberry sauce or relish
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Lay the bacon in a large nonstick skillet and cook over medium heat until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate to drain.
  • Lay 4 slices of the bread on a work surface. Spread one side of each slice with some mustard and top each with 2 slices of bacon. Evenly divide half of the Gouda and then half of the turkey among the sandwiches and season lightly with salt and pepper. Evenly spread the cranberry sauce over the top of each and top with the remaining turkey. Season lightly with salt and pepper. 1 cup baking mix, such as Bisquick
1 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 English muffins, split
2 cups chopped white and dark meat turkey
2 tablespoons pickled jalapenos
2 tablespoons jalapeno pickle juice
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced
4 slices pepper jack cheese (about 4 ounces)
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup canned cranberry sauce
2 tablespoons bourbon
Confectioners' sugar, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Heat a large cast-iron griddle or skillet over medium heat.
  • Whisk together the baking mix, evaporated milk, heavy cream and eggs in a large bowl.
  • Add the butter and oil to the griddle so the entire surface is covered. Dip each English muffin half into the batter to completely coat, then transfer to the hot griddle. Cook until each side is brown, crisp and cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes per side. Remove half of the muffins to a wire cooling rack and put the other half on a baking sheet.
  • Toss the turkey, pickled jalapenos and pickle juice in a medium bowl. Divide the turkey among the muffins on the baking sheet. Top the turkey with a few slices of apple and a slice of cheese. Bake the sandwiches until brown and bubbly, 4 to 5 minutes.

10 slices white bread or 10 slices whole wheat bread
5 ounces sliced swiss cheese (five slices)
0.5 (9 ounce) package shaved virginia brand deli ham
0.5 (9 ounce) package shaved mesquite deli turkey
1/2 cup egg substitute
1/3 cup low-fat milk
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1/3 cup seedless raspberry jam, warmed

Steps:

  • Spread honey mustard evenly over 1 side of each bread slice.
  • Place 1 Swiss cheese slice on each of 5 bread slices.
  • Divide shaved ham and shaved turkey evenly over Swiss cheese. Top with remaining 5 bread slices, mustard side down.
