A crunchy, chewy blend of tropical fruit and nuts brought together in a sweet and salty snack. Have paper napkins nearby because it is just a little sticky.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup whole cashews
1 cup chopped dried pineapple
1 cup chopped dried mango
1 cup pretzel sticks, broken in half
½ cup macadamia nuts
½ cup coconut flakes
¼ cup sweetened dried cranberries (such as Ocean Spray® Craisins®)
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon butter
¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt (such as Maldon®)

Steps:

  • Combine cashews, pineapple, mango, pretzels, macadamia nuts, coconut flakes, and cranberries in a large bowl; stir to combine.
  • Add honey and butter to a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until butter is melted, about 1 minute. You also could do this in the microwave.
  • Drizzle honey-butter over snack mix and sprinkle salt over the top. Stir well to make sure everything is well coated.

Serve up a big bowl of this sweet and crispy snack and watch it disappear. If you like, substitute peanuts, cashews or even mixed nuts for the pecans.

8 cups Crispix
3 cups miniature pretzels
2 cups pecan halves
2/3 cup butter, cubed
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and pecans; set aside. In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in honey until well blended. Pour over cereal mixture and stir to coat. Spread into two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 12-15 minutes or until mixture is lightly glazed, stirring occasionally. Cool in pan for 3 minutes; remove from pan and spread on waxed paper to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 jar (6 to 7 oz) macadamia nuts
2 cups small pretzel twists
3/4 cup diced dried pineapple, papaya and mango mix (from 7-oz package)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, honey, ginger and salt. Cook about 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until bubbly.
  • Add remaining ingredients. Cook about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until all ingredients are coated. Spread mixture in thin layer in foil-lined pan.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bubbly and lightly browned. On unlined cookie sheet, spread mixture in thin layer. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
