THE FILIPINO ELVIS SANDWICH

The Filipino Elvis Sandwich image

F.C won't let me put in the ingredient Halayang Ube-a sweet jam like spread made from Filipino purple yams . You can buy it or make your own. Sabra bananas are found in Asian markets and may be called Burro bananas they are a little starchier than the standard Cavendish, frying them first are optional .

THE ELVIS SANDWICH

The Elvis Sandwich image

I saw this on the Food Network show, Baseball Cafe. They go round the country to different baseball stadiums and talk to those serving food to the fans. One vendor was making these sandwiches and stated that Elvis loved these so they named it "The Elvis Sandwich". This is the kind of sandwich I would have made when I was little except it is on a hot dog roll. They did not give the proportions so I will guess at them. They looked so good!
